Beating Every Hollow Knight Boss In A Random Order

Inspired by a chat recommendation, I decided to embark on a new randomizer idea. Defeating every main boss in the game but in a randomized order. Skips and dashless bosses are allowed so things might get a little crazy.

If you do this again, don't look at the boss order before you start the challenge. That way there is always suspence after each boss to see if you get hornet.

That'd be a pain to program, since the boss randomizer would have to take item rando into consideration. And if rando rando can enable enemy rando, I don't think it would be possible

My suggestion for one of them is to save zote, kill nailsmith w/ pure nail and beat NKG to upgrade grimmchild for the first, and then don’t save zote, leave nailsmith be, and instead sacrifice Grimmchild then get Carefree melody for the second Because some achievements are run specific. Three, in zote’s case. 1 for saving him, 1 for fighting him in collo 1, and the last for beating GPZ

@@StepperBox you won't get the HOG statue unlocked until you beat her, but you can't do Pantheon 3 until you beat all bosses related to it.. It has GPZ, Hive Knight, Hornet 2 and The collector which should come after God Tamer

This was cool and also not what I expected. I've thought of "Random Boss Order" a lot by myself doing randos, but we had different ideas of what that meant. I always thought of it as like, their locations are randomized. So you walk into False Knight arena and get Elder Hu, stuff like that. I think putting bosses in arenas they don't fit in could be an issue, so maybe the rando could teleport you to the actual arena then teleport you back after you finish the boss? This was really fun to watch btw too!

GPZ can be excluded from the pantheons if you hold off on rescuing Zote in Deepnest, so he could come after AbsRad and PV. And if we restrict the randomised order to only count the original fights (i.e. ignore pantheon appearances for everyone except Godhome-exclusive bosses), then there are several more bosses like God Tamer that don't contribute to pantheon unlocks, so they can appear after AbsRad as well.

Oh this is really cool with an actual tool. I spent a bit of time putting together what bosses could be fought and when. One thing i did was place sort bosses into groups so that you can still leave a difficulty curve in the game.
