Sky Blue: Unboxing a Honda Civic Type R by Mini GT

Mini GT released a black version of this some months ago, after releasing the red and white versions, but this blue one appeals to me much more.

Those chrome exhausts look epic. But to be very honest, I like Pop Race's casting for the FL5 Civic Type R a lot more. Accurate interior (with the driver and front passenger seat both in red), and a gimmick engine bay with an openable hood. Still, no hate for Mini GT, I actually want to own one of them even though, being very honest, the thought of spending INR 1999 (works out to nearly 1383 pesos although some castings sell for very slightly less) for a single 1:64 Mini GT casting kinda unsettles me. I kid you not, INR 1999 can buy you a lot in India.

I agree regarding the Pop Race; I have a white one in my collection and a blue one with on pre-order. Apart from the details you mentioned it also has brake discs, which is a really remarkable detail. It’s a shame Mini GT cost so much in India; reminds of how prohibitive Kyoshos were here in the Philippines when I was still regularly collecting them. Anyway I hope you’re able to find some at reasonable prices.
