I love the little details. Teacher's Skyly J-2's engine gets honorable mention with the VERY AUDIBLE supercharger whine. Not many Hollywood movies get this right as high altitude fighters in WWII often employed either a Supercharger or a Turbocharger to make up for low oxygen at high alt.

The great air battle with the bombers ends very suddenly (you don`t even see the bombs hitting the ground) and there is few information about the whole world, the society and the system. The nationwide age of consent is 13, however, but that's usually between teenagers and in rural areas. Many prefectures bump up the age of consent to 18, and Japanese nation laws define pedophilia between someone under 18 with someone over 18. But, not what you were talking about. The whole pulling up and letting the enemy pass by (Pugachev's Cobra) isn't a combat viable manuever and has never been one. The amount of energy lost causes the plane to be much less manueverable and unable to keep up in a rate fight. Any craft can simply pull hard in any direction but down and the enemy who pulled the manuever won't be able to get guns on them. Then they would have to recoup the energy lost while the enemy has a surplus to use for turning or pulling high. Understanding energy dynamics in fights and using team tactics is why American F4F's were able to survive and win against superior Japanese A6M Zeroes.
@twddersharkmarine77743 жыл бұрын
To be exact, i don't think Post Stall Maneuver is even possible on a Propeller Plane like this, but as you know it, anime is not always realistic or came close to it, and depending on the context, Cobra Manuever *could theoritically* be used if the enemy didn't know or didn't expect what the one doing the cobra did and its more of that surprise element that was used to shoot down the enemy, it is not much use in practice but it could be used when the enemy least expected it
@randallsanchez31613 жыл бұрын
@@twddersharkmarine7774 The only way it could be useful is if the enemy pilot never sees it happening. The kids flying the planes are called kildren (kill dolls), and are biologically engineered clones that do not age into adulthood and can only die in battle, thanks to a failed experiment after WW2. PWNG gaming When you say that it made me thing, it's a computer flying that thing! So fast and capable too takes the G's, it's a UAV!
@NumnutSify9 жыл бұрын
PWNG gaming This is entirely possible. The J2 has vertical (top/bottom) and horizontal (sides/forward/backward) G forces working on the pilot. The vertical G force is most likely around 2G so the pilot can DEFINITELY withstand it, especially if wearing a suit and with training. The G force that is probably most important in the last scene shown by the J2 fighter is the horizontal G force (the J2 spiraling around sideways while simultaneously falling). There is a tremendous amount of G force coming from the front and right side. The human body has a higher resistance to horizontal G force and can withstand without problems up to 12 G forwards and 17 G UNTRAINED WITHOUT SUITS. The pilot can DEFINITELY survive this without problems if trained and wearing a suit. And the plane is not pulling 100 G's, not even close. The plane was most likely exerting 7 G's. The velocity matters little, it's the acceleration and deceleration that determines G force so going at 200 mph (322 kmh for the rest of the world) doesn't mean much. Formula 1 racers go even faster than that. 1 G is the force of gravity (9.8 m/s^2) so 7 G's is 68.6 m/s^2. The human body has even been recorded to withstand an all time record of 179.8 G. Although the average person may not survive a 100 G for a couple of seconds, a trained pilot definitely can (They may pass out though).

@kentran817711 жыл бұрын
It wasn't his accelerator stick breaking. The pusher props that they flew seemed to have an overdrive boost if you forcefully push all the way. The main character has used this to his advantage before by ramming his throttle forward while pulling back, thus stalling, making the enemy overshoot, and giving the opportunity to kill the enemy.

@selfReferencinDox11 жыл бұрын
Sean O'Dea Think about it from the Teachers' perspective, he's not going to let that "imposter" Jin-Roh kill him, right? He probably views his clones to be the biggest threats to him. And, on that topic, I wonder why Rostock Corporation hasn't been able to make the Teacher clones (e.g, Jin-Roh) strong like Lautern Corporation has done with the Teacher. Is it because the Teacher is an adult? Then Lautern should get their own adult Kildren fighter pilot, too.
@selfReferencinDox11 жыл бұрын
Khang Tran Is that in this video? I didn't see Jin-Roh stalling and forcing the Teacher to overshoot. I saw the Teacher try that same trick in the beginning of the movie, however.
