After falling down from Little Planet, Sonic and friends find themselves in South Island's vast mountain range. There's no time for detours so finding their way through the misty mountains as fast as possible back to Little Planet is their primary goal.

Wow! Nearly 10K views huh? Well then... It's been nearly a year now since our first and only legitimate upload, hasn't it? I'm sure plenty of you have been waiting ever so patiently, perhaps even excitedly, for the next part of yet another Sonic fan soundtrack inspired by Sonic Hysteria and others inspired by it such as Frenzy and Euphoria. Well, I'm here to finally give the news that probably should've been given quite a while ago. Sonic Shattered Phantom is currently on an indefinite hiatus and has been since a couple months before this video was released. The interest and motivation for a majority of the team to work on this project had been slowly but surely fading. Starting out as nothing more than a simple joke version of Hysteria, the remnants of which can be found on SoundCloud, (though I highly recommend ignoring it) the project eventually turned into a serious attempt at a fan project. Most of us had little to no experience with this kind of stuff, and so the sheer expectation and size of this creation became wildly out of our reach. I don't blame anyone for moving on for any reason and I came to understand these issues myself. The only reason this video even ended up releasing was because one of our members was determined to finish it, and so it was uploaded despite basically cancelling it. If it didn't happen, this remix of Sky High would have more than likely still become available for anyone to listen to, just as something on Chillius' channel, maybe a Frenzy Bonus or some one-off remix. Moving on, a couple months following the release of this video, One of the team members and I had started talking to each other about reviving SP, which would end up going on to occur with a third member, being the one who finished this video. Development was rocky but went pretty well, but eventually died off again. Many concepts had been grown no further than words on text documents, and we barely if at all reached beyond that. And as for right here and now, SP is still back in its state of hiatus and will more than likely continue to be so for a long time. I do plan on returning to this one day, but I want that to be when I know for certain that whatever is being made of SP will be a guaranteed finished product. It really means a lot to me that some of you have enjoyed this small snippet of a dream not come true to the point of asking for more or even if this would be a game. I'm also asking these questions. I hope to see all of you again one day with those who were developing alongside me with the same goal of making this a reality and maybe even some new faces along the way. I love Sonic 4 for what it could have been and my goal is to make that better version we never got more than a figment of our imaginations. -Vanadium Gadget TL;DR : Shattered Phantom is and has been on an indefinite hiatus for a good while. Plans to return to it do exist, although that will more than likely be a long while from now.

I will continue hold this silly little project close (for quite obvious reasons), but also cause the titlecard kicks ass and I’m still proud of it. Maybe one day this’ll grow into something greater that everyone involved will be proud of

While the appearance is undoubtedly related, they are not the same area. They aren't on the same island either. Hill Top is on West Side Island while Sky High is on South Island.
