That wooden walkway is amazing 🤩 I'm glad they build it 👍 I'll take the sounds of nature over music any day of the week 👍

Beautiful scenery and wonderful sounds of nature. Who knew this little hideaway was here? Not me! Maybe this video will entice some visitors.

The first time that I went, I asked at the Catfish Capital building in Belzoni if they knew the directions and one of the women there was able to call someone that knew the way. That was years before the boardwalk and during a drought so I was able to walk in on dry ground. I have photos from inside that big cypress looking up through the top. I have been back a couple times since the boardwalk was built. Spring of last year when I went, almost all of the boardwalk was under water.

This was my backyard as a child, I’m so glad to see the water has risen. The last time I visited it was dry. He’s down in skylake bend and just down the road from there is skylake, I have caught 100’s of fish there and my biggest catch from there was my 125lb turtle, I named him big boo and put him back in skylake. I had the best childhood ever growing up there where the fields were my play grounds and the lake was my serenity place. Mark Simmons and my grandpa John Ruff were best friends and they worked all the land that surround the area. Wow the memories that come flooding back. Thank you so much for posting this.
