There will be only World Cups for ICC in near future...Bilateral series between countries will die soon because of all these T20 leagues. Organizing 5 match Test Series will be near to impossible when all Top players have tight schedule in all these T20 leagues.

Atherton is spot on as always. He has evolved a logical brain to understand the actual scenario not only in cricket but in general life too - Sharp, Logical, Progressive, Honest, Realistic, Modern/Relevant & Against Capitalistic Injustice/With Justice. I would add to that - Have just 8 First Class Counties For both Men & Women where each County should have 2 teams (W+M = 4 teams)- First Class/Red Ball Team & The Hundred/White Ball/T-20 Like Team. Scrap irrelevant T20 Blast. Remaining 10 Counties should play Tier-2 Cups : 4-Day Cup (without first class status) & a 1-day/40 Overs Cup (not 50) giving them List-A status ( It will adjust some extra young players mentally, financially & game-quality wise too who are looking to play top domestic tournaments - Hundred & County Championship with some quality international players in future. It will also give some financial stability to those 10 Counties in Tier-2 and People who are shouting to save irrelevant domestic One Day/List-A Cup will be silenced forever). So Basically 8 First Class Counties will offer 2 Contacts to International & Domestic Women + Men Players - White ball contract (Hundred/T-20 Like League) & Red/Duke ball contract (Country Championship/First Class/Top 4-day Tournament), both with international players in contracts making this gentleperson (not just man) game free from rubbish old illogical colonial+nationalistic mentality & boundaries. Remaining Tier-2 Counties (10) will also have two contracts for starters in international+ domestic Women & Men circuit- White ball(One day/40 over cup, giving it List-A status) + Red/Duke ball (4-day Tier-2 championship). First let these two tournaments of Tier-2 happen so that top performers would be available for First class County Championship & Hundred where they would join top contracted English & International players. Same Structure should be followed by all boards. These structural/systematic, event organising, injury & time management problems will be solved for all boards. It will bring global diversity/variety, trust, transparency, connectivity & Clarity to the players as per their individual programs too. Boards & Domestic Parties can't organise it because they have orthodox & capitalistic mindset greedy franchises & administrators.

Imagine calling the T20 Blast irrelevant when the County Championship games sometimes have a stadium half empty.

@@theredraven When you have Hundred and scheduling of international & domestic matches are hectic & injury management is issue yes any domestic T20 competition is irrelevant not just in England, everywhere. T20 Blast was played when Ashes was running. Nobody even watched highlights. T20 is future but domestic league not domestic counties.

When big money comes into sport, it goes downhill IMO. All about the money and not the game.
