1:50 I’m surprised by how un-nervous everyone looks. I probably looked more nervous watching the video than you all did living through it! 2:40 How do you feel about being interviewed on your own channel? 😝 4:10 This applies to the whole video, but nice job on editing this into a cohesive narrative. It seems like you must have had a lot of footage from multiple cameras and multiple flights to go through. It flows really well and definitely holds the attention! 4:17 Love the music that starts right here. Perfect choice. 5:05 The sneaky little edits that make it look like a single flight are really well done and add to the feeling that all of you (and us) are sharing the experience together. 5:15 I can already feel it in my gut at this point. 6:30 I slowed this part down, and you’re right: you really can see the wind blowing your tongue around, haha. Unbelievable. I’m impressed that you had the presence of mind to say anything at all. 6:49 Seeing the plane “drop away” is just insane. You can’t tell which way is up or down. You guys might as well have been dropped into the void of space. You can even see the curvature of the Earth (it might just be the lens, but still!) 9:00 I like how you let these shots speak for themselves. And I’d say your face is saying quite a bit too! 9:50 That’s a long flight! I didn’t know you’d be up there so long. I guess that speaks to just how high up you were. This part looks like something I would enjoy 😉 12:10 This is an incredible shot. Again, nice job editing all of this into a narrative. It works really well. I might even say that you did such a good job making me feel like I was there that I don’t even need to do it myself 😛 14:40 I’m glad you captured these post-flight reactions. 15:15 The seagulls make one last appearance. 15:45 Love me some fly fishing footage! Also, the reflections here are stunning. 16:35 This is another great shot. 17:00 The quiet plane shots are a perfect way to end this series. I got a little emotional, haha. I’m sad to go and I wasn’t even there! This was the perfect climax to your Maine series, and one of your best videos yet. I couldn’t look away. It was an experience to watch, so I can’t even imagine what it was like to actually do it. And okay, I’ll admit that it maybe nudged me ever so slightly in the general direction of possibly thinking about maybe considering trying this some day. But I’ll probably just settle for watching this video again 😉 Thanks for putting all these together and sharing what appears to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for all of you. I can’t wait to watch the whole thing in a single episode. And I can’t wait to go back to Maine. See you soon, brother!

- I’m not sure any of us truly knew what we were getting into, which probably is one reason we looked unnervous. When that plane door opened at 11,000ft, that was a different story ha! - Hahaha The Trail Tribe needs a GoPro running at all times now on our trips to catch this ad lib stuff haha! - This is one of those times that I am glad I put in the effort to get copious amounts of shots in order to piece it together as smoothly as possible. I appreciate you noticing that detail! I was happy with how it all flowed, too. - You gotta go through and use the “starred” feature on YT music, it has been a game changer for me to find some hidden bangers! - I appreciate this comment, as well. With trips like this, I definitely want the footage to feel as much like “we” versus just “me” because I want it to be a memory my friends can watch and look back on, too. - I was feeling it too, brother! It didn’t help that that plane was patched together with duct tape! - It’s hard for me to believe that I had the wherewithal to say this in the air, too! I think part of the motivation was from the company not having enough gopros to get the ladies jump recorded (they didn’t want to be on camera, anyway), but I wanted to do something to make Hannah’s birthday feel special. - Seeing Hannah “drop away” was just plain horror. She vanished almost instantaneously. And part of me wish I had worn long sleeves and pants up there, because it was cold! I do like the plane getting smaller in the background and the fisheye effect from the gopro 😉 - Pure joy and ecstasy free falling, for sure. It’s so wild to think that an experience like that evokes those kinds of emotions haha. - The only thing that would have made the 10min flight better is if the harness was more comfortable. That thing was killing my cajonnes! Bwhahahaha I guess it’s worth it for the sake of safety. - BB Candid Camera, coming in hot! - Once again, BTC points out details in a BB edited video that I didn’t know were even present. That’s so cool I was able to get a seagull shot in every installment! Thanks for showing me that 😊 - Oh man, this fishing footage makes me CRINGE. I almost took it out, because it was the very first time I casted that thing, and I was butchering it. Like you said, though, the reflections made the shot worthy to keep in there. - Door Dash made paddleboarding look pretty fun! I haven’t done that before, but now want to give it a try! - I was sad to leave Maine, too! We only scratched the surface on what there is to see there. There never is enough time on adventures like this. I really appreciate your comments and time spent watching and rewatching these episodes! It makes me happy to know that it has helped you reconnect with your own memories of Maine, and inspire you to get back out there. And I’m also glad that you are one step closer to skydiving yourself, now. It is totally worth it! Happy New Year, brother! Can’t wait to see what life and the trail brings us in 2023. Hope to see you soon!

I can't wait for the day you and Chad get to experience this together (don't worry, I've been continually planting seeds about y'all doing it in his mind that I hope will sprout someday ;) ). DUUUUUDE!!!!! What an awesome day! I loved how you captured the whole story! Your instructor's voice kept making he should be teaching you surfing instead! 😆 You should share the link to the video with the company. I'm sure they would love it!

Thanks brother!! I was really happy with how this episode all turned out, it’s one of the few times I’m glad I kept the camera rolling constantly so I had plenty of clips to make a good narrative. I thought about sending it to the company, so maybe I will! Good idea! And that instructor was so cool! He was born in Mexico but spent a lot of his life in Australia so he was a true world traveler! Thanks again, brother! Excited to get on trail with you next weekend!

I AM IMPRESSED at how you made NO FACE or SCREAMED LIKE A GIRL out the gate. 😂😂 I'd be wailing the whole time. 😅🤣🤣 Were you controlling the 'chute at the end of the flight there? Super awesome video! Inspiring!
@BluegrassBackcountry2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Skench!! I think I was total shock when we first jumped as to my lack of expression. I had just watched my wife literally disappear into thin air and realizing I was next was pretty harrowing haha. And as to your Q about the ‘chute, our instructors let us fly it for a few minutes before they took the reigns for landing. It was incredible! Thanks again for watching, man!
