Thanks for showing such bravery in the face of adversity. It gives me encouragement facing the most difficult time in my life. When you said I can make my life what I want it to be I was filled with the same understanding. Keep striving for what you want and know you can achieve. Blessings!

Love her story. So improbable and amazing. Even better that she's a local Salt Lake City athlete! I remember when she won Frankfurt, I could not believe it. Don't ever count this woman out. It's also fun to find out that I actually ran that same Salt Lake City Marathon the year she ran it...small world. Great video, best one out yet PTO.

Thank you for your bravery sharing something so deeply personal . I also grew up in a violent home as a child for many years. Your very familiar story brought tears to my eyes. You used that inner strength to become something truly amazing. Thank you X.

This is an amazing story. I can sympathize as I too grew up with a physically & psychology abusive father. I applaud you and your strength. Good luck

"We can look at the rankings, see what's on paper, see who's going to win the Collins cup... but what's the fun in that?" Chills.

PS - In case anybody was confused, the "parents" she talks about after her first marathon include her new step dad, not her biological father.
