I will definitely check out your video. Yeah when we went it was pretty crowded (September) but it still very enjoyable. Edit: I really like how you utilized the Chill Hop. I can tell you spent a good amount of time editing that video. Nice work.

I did this 3 different times last August . Lucky for me I have a Senior Lifetime pass and the best part I live 25 miles away with a view of trees and top 3/4 of Rainier.

Are there any drop offs to be aware of when doing this hike, or is there enough room to feel pretty comfortable at all times?
@willardwooten95823 жыл бұрын
@@cerahrobinson9850 I'm 69 and have no problem but breathing where I take more shorter breaks. People get into trouble by wearing tennis shoes , I use trail runners by Lone Peak and also my boots that weight less than 16oz each. Depending on the month you go normally their is snow still on trails above 5000 feet in July as I slipped on snow in the Goat Rocks which is where a lot of drops along the trail even both sides.

That is the best hike I've ever done. Only once did I go as far as possible and loved how close to Tahoma I was.

I highly recommend going the direction you did. My daughter and I tried going the other way around and had to stop 200 vertical feet from the top due to exhaustion. It is a gentle climb up, a more steep drop coming down the way you went.

@@magicalunicorn5853 This is at Paradise. To do the Skyline trail it is best if you follow the trail around to your left from the parking lot and go clockwise.

Thank you! Yes this was EASILY one of the best, 'park at a touristy area and do a semi-easy hike' trail I have done.

My buddy invited me on a cross country trip and I hiked this trail. Super out of shape and the first section killed me but the views were insane. Looks awesome in the summer but it has it's own look in mid October. Lots more active snowing and clouds coming in and out of the landscape.

Isn't it illegal to film in national parks now?

Yes it really was something else. The video is 4K but of course does not do it justice. However, seeing it on KZbin i suppose is better than nothing. It may even inspire some people to go out there and see it for themselves....

Were there any scary drop offs or portions where there’s not a solid “wall” or area on one side with a drop off on the other, if that makes sense?
@TheVoidFill3 жыл бұрын
Yes, absolutely. Quite a few spots where there are no railings and if you are clumsy or happen to lose your footing you could fall quite a ways down some hard/sharp rocks. But honestly, don't let this comment discourage you because you have to REALLY lose your footing or pretty much try to fall down lol. THe Skyline Trail Loop is HEAVILY trafficked by tourists every day of the year and the path is extremely established and safe to hike!
@michellesouthflorida9682 Жыл бұрын
we will be there at end of July but won’t have time for long hike. what trail should we venture on? we are coming from Portland Airport and I’m not sure what entrance we come in.. i think Nisqually.

We stayed at the Gateway Inn, coming in from the West on 706. I recommend this hike if you don't have much time...its very tourist friendly and the trail itself is heavily trafficked. Incredible views!
