People who cant afford to opt in to increase NI through the government don't, and it free at point of use just like the NHS now. Then they can go private, skip the queue which is a win for those who choose to, and those who cant now get moved up the waiting list because Mr CEO,/Hedge fund manager, making 500k a year has gone into a different system and freed a space up. The poor proportionately pay more tax and that's a terrible injustice as the majority of their incomes go on the necessities so they have no opportunity to save, to take night classes to lift themselves us. One needs to read between the lines to understand what the snake oil salesmen are really up to and this report shows what Farage is really up to - a pittance of £221 pa for the poorest and £6000 for the most wealthy, it's the pure GOP politics of the hyper wealthy.

Doing just the same as they did with questioning the effects of the other parties plans. I'm not voting for them and either are most of the public. For working class people the Green Parties measures on tax and investment would be the most beneficial followed by Lib Dems and Labour. Reform's plans to cut tax will not benefit the poorest earning to little to pay tax and higher up the income scale the rich benefit far more. I started call them “Sky Skews” a decade ago. Up until the late 90's Sky news was one of the most unbiased and trustworthy channels in the UK, just like Sky News Australia are today, but then they started hiring ex-BBC/Grauniad staff and it went down the crapper. I only paid the TV Tax while I was subscribed to Sky, cancelled Sky and the TV tax in Oct 2018, that's over $2500 saved. I have spent a fraction of that on DVD's (a few Blu-rays) which give me free re-runs and no garbage designed for the mythical "modern audiences". PS: When I cancelled Sky they offered me 24 months at less than half price (£12pm), I told the guy even if they offered it for free I wouldn’t accept, as I would have to pay the BBC TAX of over £13pm, and I will not do that.

That's not how this works. These tax changes further inequality. That's what a regressive tax system does. Those on a lower income will struggle more when they're purchasing power is comparably even weaker than those on a higher income.

I'm not voting for them and either are most of the public. For working class people the Green Parties measures on tax and investment would be the most beneficial followed by Lib Dems and Labour. Reform's plans to cut tax will not benefit the poorest earning to little to pay tax and higher up the income scale the rich benefit far more. The real impact of these tax thresholds being lifted, is that the working population increases, meaning higher GDP in the long run, more business means better trade rates and cheaper cost of living. It's not just about putting money back in your pocket, it's about making your money worth more, whilst simultaneously removing state dependents which saves tax revenue that can then be redistributed into the public services. End result: significantly higher quality of life for the vast majority of people.
