‘Close enough’: Raygun’s breakdancing compared to iconic David Brent dance

Sky News host Danica De Giorgio has mocked Rachael ‘Raygun’ Gunn’s “embarrassing” performance at the Olympics as she compared her breakdancing to the iconic David Brent dance scene from The Office.
Ms De Giorgio also compared her dancing to ‘Mr G’ from the iconic series Summer Heights High.
“B-Girl Raygun has a PhD in the cultural politics of breaking,” Ms De Giorgio said.
“If that doesn't scream lefty I don't know what does.”

OK, that explains her lack of self awareness, but how about all the other people in the Breaking community who have watched her over the years?? Almost 20 yrs!! Are we really at a point now where everybody is so woke, and afraid of hurting someones feelings, that nobody in the Breaking community in Australia in 20 yrs has ever said to Rachel "Hey, you're crap!!" No judge has ever given her the scores she deserved?? How has Rachel been validated in her efforts so far, to give her the impression that she actually has talent?? Despite never having anything to do with break dancing, DanceSport Australia found itself in charge of break dancing qualification for the Australian Olympic team. So they get in contact with RayGun, a self-proclaimed break dancing expert who has a PhD in break dancing. Raygun knows exactly what to do - partner with the Australian Breaking Association and they will run the qualification round. But the Australian Breaking Association was founded by RayGun and her husband! It has about 20 members. Unsurprisingly, they run a qualifier that gets 15 entrants and RayGun is selected as the women’s entrant and her husband gets appointed as the team coach!....NEEDS INVESTIGATING IF THIS IS THE CASE ….WE NEED ANSWERS!

Beyonce famously told her daughter Blue Ivy that if she really thought she was ready to perform on the world stage, go ahead and go out there, but she'll learn pretty quick if she's good or not. Sure enough, fans let her know her performance was weak, so she spent months in training to improve and and did so. There are no losers in sport, dance, acting, whatever, only lessons that need to be learned on how to get better. If this woman cannot watch this performance she created, and see that she has done poorly, and needs to work to get better, she doesn't need to be there. If someone comes on last in the 100M, we don't look at them, and go what a great job you did.
