‘Can you shut up?’: Douglas Murray clashes with Palestinian leader in fiery debate

Author Douglas Murray has clashed with Palestinian National Initiative leader Mustafa Barghouti over the possibility of a two-state solution.
The debate between the pair erupted after Mr Murray presented the Amended Palestinian Prisoners Law No 19 (2004) to Mr Barghouti and questioned the politician on whether the Palestinian Authority was paying terrorists a salary.
“Mr Barghouti doesn’t want a two-state solution because he doesn’t want a Jewish state,” he said while the Palestinian National Initiative leader rejected the claim.
“He wants the river to the sea to be a Palestinian state ruled by him and his corrupt friends.
“He cannot answer the question I have put to him repeatedly - This is the PA budget, it rewards terrorism.”
Mr Murray also refuted the claim that Israel is occupying Palestinian land.

Why is the overwhelming majority of the UN refugee budget consumed by UNWRA after all these years? It is forgotten that while 500,000 Arab refugees fled Israel during Israel's war of independence, 800,000 Jews were summarily expelled from Arab countries, absorbed by the war torn, infant, underresourced state on top of all the post-Holocaust refugees pouring in. It is also forgotten that while Europe was slaughtering its Jews, countries globally close their borders and reduced their quotas for Jews. A Jewish state is an absolute necessity despite Arabic victimhood posturing.

Those are mercenary immigrants. They are NOT from that part of the planet. 90% of them are FOREINERS. If you check their DNA, you'll find that are from Arabia, Syria, Armenia, Turkey, Egypt, as far as Morocco. For instance, Nusair Yasine, the famous Arab-Israeli influencer, 90% of his DNA is European. Only 1% of his DNA is tied to the land and that 1% is ethnically JEWISH. 90% of those Arabs immigrated to the place after the British mandate. They came looking for work and also serve as a nail in the shoe for the Jews who were returning to their land. In 19th century, the land was almost desolate. No one gave a shit about it. Jerusalem and its dome of the rock were UNSIGNIFICANT to the Muslims. They had no value. People, you need to study the histroy of the place before 1948. I can't agree with this more. If you go to an Arab that fled Syria in 2015 and say: "You have been here almost a decade, but you will forever be a refugee and not one of us" you'll be called a racist. But if you refer to Palestinians as anything else than refugees after 75 years then you're the bad guy. Why are Palestinians allowed to get away with special treatment. Either people are forever a refugee and not part of a community. Or they become part of a community after a while. Make a choice 😂

I have coins from the 20s and thirties that say otherwise. Golda Meir even held a Palestinian passport before 1947. As for the term "Palestinians" , it's a homogeneous term, there is no Palestinian race. Emperor Hadrian erased Samaria and Judea after the revolt and renamed it "Palestina" to erase any Jewish history or claim to the land. Palestine was given its name from the peoples that occupied the area in 12 century BC known as Philistines. I do side with Israel in this matter as Hamas and the "Palestinians" have never wanted peace or have ever dealt in good faith. The hamastinians are all or nothing people and will wind up with nothing if they continue hostilities.

you mean when the Jewish population was 27% and 33% respectively. The peel proposal was rejected by both sides in 1937. In 1947 the Arabs rejected the idea of just handing over 50-odd percent of the land that was theirs to the Migrant Jewish population.
