I've found that if you go to raven rock and hire the follower there, he summons flame summons, then get the goblin pet, he summons storm, get twin souls to summon 2 for yourself, and dead thrall a named saint and seducer, they summon as well, get a soul husk and summon a skeleton from gallows hall, you'll have a small army of 9, 10 with yourself

One note on removing the stolen status from item. With Faendal (or any follower) go back to Riverwood (or somewhere with a non-player owned chest), put the stolen item(s) in a chest, and have your follower take items from the chest, and trade the item(s) back. Voila! No more stolen status on it/them.

This is a very comprehensive guide that will make your start better and easier. Here some small tips in addition to everything else. 1:36 at this 1st bandit camp there is a skill book for one-handed training in a tent. Also, one of the bandits will have a map to a secret stash. That stash is a large log across the river just before Riverwood so it's on the way. 3:45 where you meet Faendal find a wood chopping axe nearby and chop wood. Drop the axe (it's heavy) and keep at least 1 piece of wood to sell to the inn keeper in Whiterun. She will like you and you can take all the low cost items you want and have a free bed. 8:12 when talking to Farengar ask him if he is the only wizard. He will give you frost salts to deliver to the city alchemist (she's next to the inn still in Whiterun). She will reward you with high value potions and she will like you which means you take her low value items. 24:35 Where you are 1st taken to your bed in the College there are items in your room you are free to take. 1 is a void salts (so you don't have to steal it). You will still need the grand soul gem (empty is okay). There is an orichalcum ingot close to the broom (on dresser) in the midden as well. 49:05 if you are going for a destruction mage the "Aspect of Terror" perk in illusion will add extra damage to fire spells. 53:04 if you have max enchatnig and take the max perk that allows 2 enchantments per item you can make you chaos damage go even higher. Adding absorb health or fiery soul trap for example will not only add their damage but will increase the chaos damage as well.

When your at the college where you get the broom you can also get the Orichalcum Ingot it's on top of cabinet that the broom is up against. And as far as the Void Salts goes you make it at the forge all you need to bring is one Amethyst gem which you get from mining any kind of ore, Salt Pile which there are 5 of along the way into the forge , and a Petty Soil Jem which most likely have already and it can empty or full it doesn't matter. The only two items you really need to bring here is the Grand Soil Gem (Grand) & an Amethyst Gem. That it clear as mudd.

I did the first half of your previous video, found this and did over half of this. Right up to getting the dog. I think I'm going to play the story some...lol. This is my first playthrough and feel strong enough and definitely have enough cool gear. I'll come back to finish this a little later on. Probably next weekend. Thank you for your time and effort! This is a great guide. One thing I would like to add for anyone getting back into Skyrim or if you are new to Skyrim, You should really think about doing the Farming quest (The Unquiet Dead/A Farmer's Life For Me) at Goldenhills Plantation (By Roriksted). Even if you don't spend the money upgrading the house or anything, you still have a lot of crops you can plant. Since you talked about having Creep Cluster, Scaly Pholiatia, and Mora Tapinella, there are a lot of places in Goldenhills Plantation that you can plant your crops and make a ton of money. Plus, if you continue the quest and get a steward, some farmhands, build an animal pen, get some livestock, etc. You can start collecting money once every few days which will help you out even more when getting started.

Obviously this comment is quite belated; however just wanted to share a small tidbit to expand here. The ore that he is mining at about 10:25; which is under the ramp/stairs section is able to be mined by hand and not via the animation. I'm a rather impatient fellow when I'm grinding games; so I want my stuff asap lol. So; instead of swinging your pick while standing ( for hard to reach ore nodes); what you may want to try is something I discovered by pure accident, luck, chance, the universe straight up backhanding me for my appalling lack of points in intelligence. I was in that same bandit camp, and was sneakin up on the good ol' chief with my trusty pick.... well I went to whack him with 15 units of weight, and I hit the iron ore node under that bit of stairs. Complete shock on my end; as I've been playing skyrim since roughly 2014. That happened to me literally 3 days ago lol. I'm that guy who will swing at every little section of that ore node until I've swung at it all, and then; only then will I do the animation lol. Sucks they don't have a bug/ mechanic like that for woodcutting blocks for firewood logs. GAAAHHH making my arrows would be SOO EASY!!!! Edit: So I just saw the part about your horse having a bad day; considering you bought said horse at whiterun stable, and that guy only ever sells the one horse... your horse is in fact a female horse. When speaking to her previous owner before purchase; you have a chance to ask what he has for sale. He goes on a bit of a spiel, and says this bit right here: "The one I have for sale is all saddled up, and ready to go. We call her 'Queen Alesyf ' in honor of blah blah blah". The horse is canonically female. **aside to self: " why do I do this?! Does it matter if the man knows the gender of his horse, and that she must have been about dead to begin with; since the previous owner said she was the oldest?! No it doesn't matter... if skyrim was multiplayer then I'd ask somebody to go with me to high hrothgar, slow time me, then fus roh dah me into the infinite abyss towards darkwater crossing, and then pelt me full of arrows from every tier of smithing.... and then the magic bolts, and the poisons... don't say it... don't say it! GAH I wanna say it ! Don't say it ! AAARRGGHH I NEED THE ADORING FAN FROM OBLIVION IN SKYRIM !!!!!!!

You are almost as good as me in skyrim. I usually do a quest to get golden hills plantation for easy money (this location is the best player home), level up illusion to get better damage on my fire spells, clear out kolskeggr mine for some pure gold, level up enchanting up to 100 for Extra Effect perk that will give me god tier weapons/armor, and have Serana as follower since she is immortal. Otherwise I do a lot of things as you in this video with new builds.

I just want to say, a cheeky shortcut for the alchemy is to do the item duplication glitch after growing 1 batch of your alchemy ingredients. It's fiddly and can be annoying as the number grows, and, if your not careful your game "may" crash. But if you want to do it, bring a follower with you to myrewatch, have them "wait" drop 15 of one of the 3 ingredients you need. Have your follower pick them up, and then you go to Whiterun [or wherever] and come back. When you go back to your Myrewatch home, on the front lawn [assuming you dropped them on the front lawn] you "should" see at least 8 to 9 of the ingredients or if your lucky, 12 to 13 of them or more. Then take the ones your follower has [the 15 stack] and rinse and repeat. Every time you should be able to almost double your ingredients. 15 to 25 to 28. 28 to 52 or 54+ ETC.Compliment this method with the "intended" method of the creation club house then by the time you have duplicated roughly 340 or so of each ingredient, which is roughly what you need to legendary alchemy the first time, you should also have generated another 105 to 135 of the ingredients from the plots. [Just remember to harvest them every 3 days]

Bethesda is allegedly working on a new version, some attempt at paid mods so you never know. From tips: you may stop leveling at levels 2-3 if you are doing side skills or when your primary skill isn't high enough. The low level also prevents Yeti and some saber cats from spawning - you get wolfs instead which are ez. Also, the quest to cleanse 3 fonts given by the illusion teacher in Colledge can give you a "+100 magicka" for 1h. The hidden effect is infinite fast mana regeneration so you can transmute or level most magic schools easily - just save/load before each font as the buff is not 100% to get. You can also use this time to clear dungeons that are for much higher levels (as you have infinite magicka and likely Dremora summon etc) And it's funny how mod content power creeped everything :D

@@femmenic you will get from experience. The typical goal is to stay low level while you gather alchemy, smitching and enchanting resources to then pump 100 in them and create a full set of upgraded and power-enchanted gear.

You can get Destruction (and Alteration) to 100 MUCH faster when you have enchanted yourself some equipment that negates the cost of that school of magic. For destruction - you already looted the place - channel unbounded storms (away from your followers) and while channeling open the map and fast travel to a far away location - destruction is now at 100 - if it isn't, do it a second time. Same with Alteration - you just need to use Telekinesis on an object and - while channeling - fast travel. No need to pester the poor Graybeards with destruction.

Didn’t see this mentioned in the comments, but the ritual table in Mara’s Eye Pond also converts Grand Soul Gems to Black Soul Gems. Use this info at your discretion. I’m doing a full werewolf build so human souls and hearts are needed in droves

At 17:38 an error on the soul gems. The table does not turn greater to grand, it turns greater or grand into black. The advantage is that grand souls are hard to find and to kill eg mammoths. But black souls are any human so easy to find and kill

What does maxing out your alchemy skill have to do with the level of enemies you encounter? It sounds like you’re saying (at about 7:15) that the difficulty of your enemies is based on the level of your alchemy skill and how upgraded your equipment is. Can you clarify please?

It's because levelling his alchemy also leveled his character and enemy encounters are based on your character level, so if you've levelled speech, alchemy, enchanting and lock picking up to 100 you will be level 50ish character so your enemies will be level 50 az well but your combat skills are too weak to fight them.

⁠@@KirksScratchCardsoh wow so is it a bad idea to do this? I’m brand new to the game and having a tough start. I ended up lowering my level from normal to easy (pathetic 😂) and still having some trouble. I come from playing all the Witcher games which in my opinion are much easier. I’m so confused on which dungeons are the harder ones/ which enemies to stay away from in the beginning, let alone what their levels are. I’ve seen some vids on how to level many skills to 100 so early on but is this a good idea? I was thinking yes as at least I will have strong skills to go against the enemies. Edit: in another video from a different KZbinr, he started the game following Rolof where apparently after you kill the imperial guards in the beginning you can hit Rolof and practice swinging with your axe (he doesn’t die) and get skill points into one-handed. Then he recommended putting 1st skill point into stealth and then sneak behind Rolof and continue hitting him and in doing this it’s possible to get one-handed to lvl 100 (takes a while, but you can stop at any point). Then when u get the quest from Feindle to give letter to Camilla (say it’s from Feindle), he becomes ur companion and you can train in archery. Apparently you can train 5 times per character level, (The 1st 5 times gets archery to lvl 22 I think) and in doing this ur character level goes up which resets the training back to 1 and you go again. It’s possible to get archery to level 50 this way. So if u get Alchemy/speech/enchanting/lock picking/one-handed/archery all leveled up would you be strong enough to face level Trish enemies?

@femmenic it depends on what type of character you want to play as, e g. A mage, stealth archer, assassin or warrior. I've been playing skyrim for 11 years and I play on novice difficulty lol 😅 😅 alchemy, speech and enchanting are the most important skills to have for any type of build, after that it's personal preference but I'd say if you just play the game normally then you'll level your skills more naturally, guides like this tend to be for players who want 100% completion or are doing speed runs, if you're not sure where to start I'd recommend gamevibs or Mike the gaming dad for best start guides. You need to click the quest into the shadows there is one step I left out for tome purposes Book in a store or something

Stable hands note not here at the whiterun stables, same with assassins note, and daedric armor didn't appear on the death of enemies the scroll of transmute also wasn't here
