Little tip for everyone if you get the golden claw but don’t give it back to shop Keeper , the river wood trader acts as a 24/7 , as in its open all the time

Reading all those skill books so early, you're missing out on extra skill points. If you go through and kill your first dragon, visit the Greybeards, and take care of the cultists, you can go to Solstheim and do the Ebony Mine quest to get to the first black book. One of the effects of the black book quests is to gain one extra skill point for every skill book you read. The earlier you do this quest, the faster you'll be able to level due to the free extra points earned and there are a lot of skill books scattered around.

Dude, you can go to Solstheim at any time. It only requires 250 gold once. No waiting at all. Absolutely no reason at all to do any main quest to collect nearly every Black Book.

@@itsjjdavis4231 Probably because you haven't visited Helgen post-introduction. The introduction itself does not mark Helgen as having been visited (and thus available for fast travel). Veteran players sometimes double back after escaping just to pick up the location for later.

Don't read the skill books until late in the game, reason being is by that time it's much harder to level up wich means the skill books will be much more meaningful and worth reading at that point. Also because the enemys level up with you anyway so really there's no need to hurry up with skill levels from the books. Beyond that this really is a great opening.

I mean he levels enchanting first so it's clear he's not running any kind of difficulty as he would not be able to clear the bandit camp first up on Legendary and you need to focus entirely on combat skills so you don't level too fast and get stuck not being able to kill anything.

Pro tip: Leave skill books until later, since it's much harder to go from 90 to 91 in a skill than from 15 to 16. Take a follower with you and tell them to pick up the skill book so you can read it later when it counts for more...

Couple updates: Azura’s star can no longer hold black souls which was not mentioned in this video, but a commenter incorrectly stated it can hold both white and black souls. This bug was patched, so AS now only holds while souls. Ebony mail quest was not bugged for you, it is just not available until level 30. Aetherial crown bug was also patched, so taking it off and putting back on does not refresh the 24 hour cooldown for the ritual stone proc any longer. Otherwise this guide was right on. Took me about 4 days to complete (with plenty of breaks). Now I’m ready to actually start the game lol

One change I would recommend would be get the BLACK star from the Azura's quest. It can hold ANY soul. You kill a lot of people. They have black souls, which are always grand. Pair that black star with the mace of molag bal or your bound bow's soul trapping. You're welcome.

HERE IS A TIP for anyone starting a new game... once you make it to the bear in the cave.. Find a nice spot against a rock or along the wall of the cave, near the bear. (While sneaking)... And just continuously sneak at the direction of the wall. Do that for as long as you wish to advance your sneak skill. On consoles you can take a rubber band and force your joystick upwards, I call it "auto pilot", and leave it sit. I myself will leave it connected to the charging dock so as the controller will not die. On PC, simply hit the C key (I believe it is) to auto walk forward. This will work while sneaking. I usually do this till I reach level 100 on the first legendary. This as you can imagine, takes some time. Without any mods to speed up leveling up, expect at least 4 to 5 hours. But in a new game at the very beginning, you'll be around a level 20 when leaving the cave for the first time. Cheers 👍

If you read the note she will become hostile to you attempt to murder you to keep her secret. If you kill her there is a Chance thugs will attack you later in the game. After defeating them, on their corpse is a letter stating Moira (A Hagraven) hired them to avenge the death of Her sister Anise.

Good hints. On the way to Winterhold / Azura's shrine I usually make a little stop at Ironbind Barrow for the Fiery Soultrap enchantment. Helps add a little pfupf to your early game weapons.

Go into the game, learn as you go, explore the areas, get lost in the world, do whatever the hell you want to do. This game is amazing, have fun with it. @@hughmellerick4417 i don't know, i've had the game since 2014 but couldn't ever get that far because i didn't understand concepts like smithing/enchanting/alchemy. recently i downloaded it again and by following the first 10 minutes of this guide i learned to enchant items, mine ores, craft items, etc, as well as visiting places i have never visited before because i was too inclined to just follow the main quest. in 8 years of playing i was always resetting the game soon after bleak falls barrow and this video made me realize the main quest is the least that skyrim has to offer

This is very true. I am a skyrim virgin because when it came out I was young and I did not like it at all, I did like Fallout 3 though which is based on the same engine, so I felt it was a bit of a cake-on-cake situation for me and that skyrim I found Skyrim clunky. I am now playing through it and I wanted to watch a video on some tips and tricks which this guide's first minutes really did show me, but its not the way the game should be played, so I followed it until I was where I was area-wise for my quests and stuff like that and now just glide through the world.

I plan on getting the game soon, but I am torn about how I want to approach my 1st playthrough, on the one hand I would like to play it without any guidance, but then on the 2nd hand I would like to have a good road to get established gear/skills etc wise. I know I can playthrough multiple times but with games like these I tend to put 100+ hours into them on 1 playthrough and tend not to play more than once because the amount of time I put through them on the 1st playthrough.

I only started playing Skyrim a couple years ago but started with the alchemy exploits which was extremely fun but I'd get a few quests in then restart my build, it used to crash a lot coz my gear was ultra boosted and I had unlimited weight which means I had half of Skyrim in my pocket, then I discovered Creation Club and Mods omg! It just made all the unique gear obsolete, feels good to play through without it.

The slower mining animation actually gives you more ore, it's usually 1 or 2 pieces but more is more

From my experience it dosn't. Its always 3 ore per ore vein every 3 hits regardless of using the animation or attacking. unless there is some technique to bug out the animation.

thats why you can exit the animation after 3 hits, restart it, cancel after another 3 hits, and all again. this way, you always get 3 from one vein

@@rivex5636 I think you are reading the text. for some reason I think there is a delay in how fast the text appears. Doing the full animation will always give you 3 ore regardless it just won't show the text but it will still have 3 added to your inventory. the only reason you get less than 3 ore is if you mine a gem like a ruby or garnet etc... then the gem will replace the ore. That is unless your game is bugged...

basically you get 1 after 3 hits with text, one after 6 hits but it will not display the text as the old text still has not had time to clear, and one after 9 hits which will display text again as tge old text has cleared by now. the ore is still added to your inv tho. its just a display feature with the text. by exiting the animation you just give time for the text to clear thus allowing it to be displayed again. but the sound will still play and add a ore to your inv even if you dont exit.

Stripping the Bannered Mare bare and selling off the loot is also useful early on Giving a farmer a cabbage, loot his farm, and then murder him for the inheritance, is also a good way of making money fast. The owner of Pelagius Farm is the best candidate, as he will automatically die during the siege of Whiterun anyway.

Nearly the exact same way I've done it. Since I favor the bow first, I merely have the same hire.. have him train me on the bow, then, since he is your follower, merely go into his inventory and take your money back. Just keep training and grabbing your money back. Once I get this start, I Branch off into the other skill sets as I go along. Sometimes I play the game really slow and drag it out for months, which is my favorite thing to do in the winter time. Skyrim... Definitely my number one game of all time

Nice to see another perspective on a new game playthrough. Only thing id suggest, esp if dlcs are involved, is to get the house in Falkwreath. Having a base tht can raise/farm all support skills such as Alchmey, Smithing, and Enchanting early on is incredible. Just have to do a single bandit and you can farm alchemy ingredients. Falkwreath doesnt require multiple help quests to purchase property. No Thane title needed which is great.

Is the switch version decent? I recently got a switch for Christmas. I been playing Skyrim for years on pc and Xbox. I know it’s not gonna look as good but portability and playing on the go is what I’m interested in. Is Skyrim manageable in switch handheld mode?

@@zgbenzz Apart from the joycons being pretty shit, it’s still nice to be able to play Skyrim on the go. I believe the FPS is 30 but you get used to it pretty quickly. Definitely worth it in my opinion. Plus it doesn’t look that bad ‘cause your screen is small.

Pinewatch is also a good spot for gold and ore,ingots just becarful it is kinda tough at the start. Once you go up to the talos shrine drop below the thalmor guy and follow the rocks until you come by logs run passed tbe logs kill the wolfs. Then run up to the house icon. Make sure to still have some lock pics. Its an adepet lock to get in go down stairs kill the guy at the bottom and betwen the table and the post there is a button to open the secreat door

Thanks for the vid, just a few things: - Why use sparks, when flame does more damage for less magicka? yes, more creatures have fire resistance than sparks, but not so much that early. - if you side with the imperials, Alvor's ingots will be free to take (and not steal). - when looting gear, generally prioritise the weight/money ratio. - at the first bandit camp, sleeping on the mat gives a "rested" bonus!

For early game - or if grinding Conjuration on a corpse is not for you - in College of Winterhold in Midden there is Atronach Forge which can produce all three Atronach books AND staves via pre-determined recipes. List of total items is: 2 of each elemental salt, 3 brooms, 3 ruined books, Dragon's Tongue, Frost Mirriam, Deathbell, Bear and Ice Wolf Pelt and a Mammoth tusk, Corundum, Orichalcum and Moonstone ores or ingots. All of these can be found in fixed locations, and budget version of only Storm staff can be picked along the way to Forge

Here is my short giude. - Get out of Helgen - Travel to carriage near Whiterun Stables - Travel to Markath - Go Kolskeggr Mine were you will kill forsworn, and mine Gold, - Melt Gold Ore into Gold Ingots - Tavel to Left Hand Mine were you will meet Pavo Attius who wil give you a reward for clearing Kolskeggr Mine - Travel to Halted Stream Camp were you will find Transmute Mineral Ore Spell, and loads of Iron Ore - Transmute entire iron Ore into Gold Ore, and then melt it into Gold Ingots - Now find any Forge and turn your entire Gold Ingots collection into Gold Rings. This wll give you lot's of money, Smithing skill, and as a bonus you can even level up Enchanting skill.

You can get a staff of paralysis from snapleg cave at level one. You can make a storm of staff atronach using void salts, a grand soul gem and a broom at level one at the atronach forge (void salts can be stolen in the potion shop in whiterun, grand soul gem can be bought from any mage merchant). These level the playing field on Legendary as they are super powerful effects that aren't affected by the difficulty modifier.

I loved the video learned some things I didn't know so here's a tip I didn't see in it for smithing to 100 as well as unlimited gold when you get enough gold ingots drop them individually in whiterun have your follower pick them up then fast travel out of whiterun then fast travel back your gold ingots will be duplicated drop as many as you like to double your ingots each time then sell to the smith lady next to the entrance use your save hit reload trick to do this endlessly again thank you you've made this game so easy for me lol

Just passed some ruins with 20 bandits, mages, archers and some falmers by my side. In the field outside I recruited a giant and a mamoth. No more sneaking and bound bow! It is more like a LOTR battle! I have the Aetherial Crown and the Ritual Stone on Favorites shortcuts ( I am playing on PS4) and I can spam them in a second! Thank you, GameVibz! It took some time, but I followed almost all the steps, still prefer the Legion and Frea though! I am subscribing! Cheers!

just started my first play thru yesteday. i got all the way to the full dwarven armor and weapons. bout to go to magic college or some shit. my bow and arrow mate, fan something, he died. damn bandit miners. the only criticism i have is the combat system: i have no idea when i am making contact vs swinging aimlessly. otherwise, this game is an incredible feat for 2011.

I go for Elvin armor for light armor early in the game by choice. I will check a few places where The Aldimari Elves are quick marching, with or without a prisoner, and stick with them like a tick. They will clear a path as I gather flowers and butterflies behind them. They are usually on their way to Solitude or their Embassy near Solitude. In both instances, they will encounter some tough bandits with the worst of the lot at Robber's Gorge. I will run into the camp as they approach to ensure the tough ones inside, including the Bandit Chief, come out to play. Usually all the Elves die and all or most of the Bandits die, and I get all that gear early. I can sell the rest at the Stormcloak camp or Solitude, I'm way over-encumbered, but worth it. There is also the hidden Bandit Chief's chest on the stream island.

You can get two Dawnbreakers by using Grand Paralysis spell or scroll in the room of the pedestal before picking up Dawnbreaker. The second one will then be somewhere on the ground.

Just a warning to anyone else who hasn’t reached level 30: at @16:38 OP tells us to go to Sacellum of Boethiah and get the ebony mail; if you go there before level 30 there is a bug that will prevent you from completing it. I found out the hard way. It’s a whole thing, people online everywhere have issues with this. 😭 be careful! EDIT: OP even mentions he runs into a glitch and seems like it’s no big deal but it is 😭😭😭
