Just obtained a Series X and wanted to try out Skyrim again... this mod list was a huge help in getting started again with overhauling graphics and getting a good jump start. Thank you for the videos!! Pulled info from several other videos of yours...and these mods do not disappoint!

Good question. Yes, I run them all. I have the whole AE Package installed so that when I test a mod for a video, I'm seeing how it works with all the add-ons.

"The Autumn of Whiterun" does the same but with Autumn trees and foliage. Looks very good, too. Fits good with the tundra surrounding it because of the colors.

There are a lot of these floating around, many really good. I wanted to get something up and keep my 'mo going. I checked these out because of the small file size and they have gained a rep for being very trouble free. Turns out they looked better than I expected. The mod I use for this on PC I really like, but it's not available on Xbox.

@@TheAncientGamerX "trouble free" is good. I remember I installed a Whiterun overhaul once and when I attacked Whiterun with the stormcloaks I had a lot of crashes - I guess because the city changes (destroyed + burning buldings).

Hey with this LO do you run into any issues with CTD going into/out of Dragonsreach or Jorrvaskr? Any sort of mesh/texture mods affecting whiterun seem to do this for me on the series X, and there seems to have been a similar issue a few years back when they released the 4k patch for the Xbox One X, so I'm wondering if that may be it.

Not happening on me, at least yet. Modding on the One X post "X Enhanced Patch" was insanely tricky and often a crash-fest. I've not found the same to be true on Series X. It seems to have the raw horsepower, memory speed and size, to be able to muscle it.

just got xbox x yesterday was running noble on xbox slim i do use whiterun full of life on ps5 as i love alchemy but with anniversary edition and myrwatch money is NOT an issue and with salmon roe , garlic and nordic barnacle i have potions that sell for about 5 grand

Hi nice video, I use city trees personally- I think theres definitely more trees in whiterun with it and it's a mixture of Aspen, spruce and pine. anyways I was wondering if you could do a video covering tamrielic textures 1 (for landscapes) and maybe do a comparison as the mod has a 1k version , 1/2k and 2k plus an extra green add on, it would be nice to see more landscape videos in general for console since doesnt seem to be many at the moment. Those are on my list for sure. It takes me a little while to get around to things as I am only one guy. I used to be several guys until the Crisis on Infinite Earth's congealed the multi-verse into one back in the '80s,...--Lol!

Wepons and Armor, watch the Armor mods video, it explains a little of that. But both go under Divine Skins but above mods like Ars and Rich Merchants.

@@jlewis37 Nope, kind of the opposite--above Divine People. That's where followers and/or NPC mods would go. So your game on series X doesn't have problems on the main menu? Mine freezes on the main menu and I can't do anything. I don't have the anniversary upgrade though...

Not really. There is lag after it says push any button. Usually a longish pause before the Skyrim icon goes from silver to gold. That didn't used to happen. But no freezing.

Hey so I did a graphics overhaul and it like glitched my game at a certain quest and broke it I have xbox series x no it was not your lo but I'm truly hoping this works I haven't seen anyone post it broke their game so hopefully if I do these exact mods this exact lo my game will run solid thanks

If you go to my Community Tab and scroll down a ways, I have my two main load order printed out right there for you. Do a clean install of the game and install the mods in order ..you should be good to go with either one. For newer looking graphics, use Better Graphics for Skyrim. If you want a great looking game that runs like a top (although both LO's run smooth and quick) use Ultimate Enhanced Vanilla.

Any reason for getting rid of your night sky and shield mods on your most recent LO?

Nope, not at all. What I'm going to be trying to do is establish a set of basic Load Orders--with room to add more mods to it that you might want! Like Hamburger Helper, Lol, to "Make it Your Own!" That's why my load orders are never "150 Mods" or packed to the gills. So the night sky and the shield mods are like "Bonus Mods" or extra little touches to fill out your LO if you want. I'll show you where to put 'em, you decide if you like them. Some mods get added over time, like Kabloom, which I ended up really liking a ton, but I don't want to end up with 100 mods in the basic LO. First off, it's just a law of physics with console modding--the more mods you run, the more your game will start to slow up and act strange. I like LO's that play great and load fast and also I always want to leave you with room for mods of your own and a game that is healthy enough to run them.

Just wanted to mention that I’ve been using your Better Graphics load order as a template to add additional mods with minimal/minor issues. Was a little nervous about going ‘freelance’ prior to adding the extra mods, but your explanations and visual examples made load order construction pretty easy. My game looks great. The BG load order took up slightly over 2 GB withe additional mods I installed leaving a little over 900 MB. Where would you suggest I plug-in a combat overhaul mod?

Hey Mike if I could jump in I'd recommend valravin combat of Skyrim. It's a light combat mod which improves the vanilla combat without straying to far from the base games combat. Check it out

@@ixshuffzzx9767 Any animations mods go below body and beauty, so in my load order, below Divine Skins and Bodies. But also below XP32 Skeleton. So Divine, then XP32, then combat/animations. If you have other animations that you want to run, just remember that the mods load from the top down so the last animation mod will overwrite stuff from the ones above that both mods affect. Put all this stuff under Divine but above everything else.

Mike I'm still working on something and I have a pretty big backlog of videos so I'll give you a few links. The best overall animation mod for Skyrim is Immersive Animations. It can be a little buggy, animation mods on Xbox (without FINIS) are not the best compared to PC-- certain animations (two-handed mainly) may have a "personality." Used your mod list to make adjustments to mine in Series X, was having a great time getting back into the game for the first time in years, then the latest update broke the game and just lost many hours of playtime. Probably not going back until Bethesda fixes this.

@@TheAncientGamerX For me, it didn't happen until just recently. Fired up the game to see a few mods had updated, and it somehow shuffled my load order around. Once I straightened it out, the game either wouldn't load at all, crashing to dashboard from the initial load screen, or within seconds of getting into my 40 hour save. I'm no stranger to the modding scene going way back to Doom, Quake, etc back in the day on PC. I've seen game updates break mod support here and there, but that's normally with games that don't have the built-in mod tools and support like Skyrim. Just sloppy and bad form from Bethesda. They know these games wouldn't still be sellable like Skyrim has without mod and community support.
