Best way to play skyrim is on the Switch imo! There are no mods to destract you or crash your game. Ive 2 characters on 600 hours each on the Switch. Im Amazed how they fitted it all on.

i was pretty impressed graphically its not bad considering the switch. pretty nice to have it!

The only way I play Skyrim now is on Switch. Play Docked for a bit then sit cozily in bed or in my lounge chair and play hand held. Extraordinary. It'll be even better when Switch 2 releases.

I like Whiterun without trees and foliage because it really makes it look like a tundra plains city. But I would like a mod that makes the city bigger.

Always wanted to play skyrim. Im an old pc gamer and by the time skyrim came out , i was freshly married and priorities in life changed. As I got older and finally found time to sit down and game again I got into retro pc builds but there are levels of headaches come with that. And trying to download off steam with country living bandwith is nightmarish so skyrim was still just a dream. Longstory short I ended up getting my kids a switch lite for Christmas and found I enjoyed it very much, so much I went and got myself an OLED version for me not knowing skyrim was even available. Found the anniversary edition on sale for less than 20 dollars and jumped on it. I have been completely immersed, to say the least. I have no pryor experiences with this game or its mods so I only know the switch version and have been blown away. 1, this game is an early 2000's game which was my prime game enjoyment. 2, i played this game for over 9 hours straight while the family was away for a day and I haven't done that in a decade or more ( and my body hurt but totally worth it). To say the least, This is a great game on the switch and if you have a switch its an absolute must!

Okay so here’s my godly mod combo I’ve been using on the X… 60 fps ultra mod, Vivid AIO, NAC fixed, Borealis grass, some trees, neon signs, and dilapidated roads faded… And for the NAC fixed settings I use: preset darker shadows, FOV 120, Vignette off, noise off…. This will make your game look VERY similar to an ENB thank me later… if you follow all these instructions your game should look fucking amazing.

I used this one but was a bit heavy. I recommend just fps boost and nac x for lighting and escape from boston landscapes and interiors, that changed the game for me and holds 60fps. I even have extra weapons and ememies. Fps boost is magic

Thanks to the magic of fps boost is possible. NAC X for lighting and escape from boston as a landscpes and iinteriors and some extra weapons and enemies ....it holds 60fps and looks like a remake. I am enjoyng the game a lot again.

What are your thoughts on the next gen update? Would it be a better combo to use vivid along side the next gen update or would still using ultra+ mod be the way to go

My main problem with modding has always been the extreme changes to gameplay. I like my mod lists simple just stuff to fill in the gaps. I don’t like mods that change everything you know about Skyrim or mods that feel unnecessary like turning all the women into super models and giving them hair that looks like it was washed with several different types of product.

Super late to the party but I’m just now downloading New Vegas to play for the 1st time and I’m enjoying your video. In regard to a resolution boost for New Vegas, this is the effect that John Linneman from Digital Foundry has discussed on a few occasions, it is still 720p but doubling the frame rate has the effect of increasing image edge integrity and a smoother, higher framerate literally looks smoother in that there’s double the visual information but also there is no 30fps “shutter” effect or at least the effect is hugely reduced especially when panning laterally. John can explain it better than I but the image has better integrity on these 2 fronts and that usually results in the image looking “better” and this is particularly noticeable with older, lower resolution images. I’m no teacher but yeah, if you look up John talking about it he’s the one with the glasses who always says “like,” and always says “right?” at the end of his sentences like an 80s salesman😁 but he’s a learned man who’s taught me a lot even though I like, want to like, slap him when he talks that way, right?🤓

Switch-version i a great way to play Skyrim, at 900p (docked mode), it holds up rather well on the TV too. But the big value is ofc to be able to do a side quest or two on-the-go. And the rather dark natured style of SKyrim's graphics works very well with the Switch Oled-version.
