This WAS audio book quality. Seriously, this was aweosme. I loved the others you have done so far, but this one was absolutely exceptional.

I had already been sent on the Red Eagle quest when I read his legend. My days wandering in the Reach seeking for Dwemer ruins were over, and I had given the ancient sword found in the cave to one of my companions before we took part ways, as a memory of our adventures. After having read the book, I decided to find my old friend and get the sword back. I didn't know where she was, but I eventually found her in Whiterun. She accepted to give me back Red Eagle's fury and didn't ask for any reason. With the sword at my side, I traveled to the Reach. I remembered the location of the old cave like it was yesterday. I reached the entrance, cautiously avoiding the very hostile forsworn whose own legend I was ironically trying to honor. I put the sword back to its plinth. The old crypt opened itself miraculously. I was no forsworn, but I understood their fight. Red Eagle's fury did not belong to me, nor any other man. It belonged to the Reach, and, true or false, Red Eagle's legend was meant to give a symbol of freedom and bravery to the people of the Reach. While I was opening the cave, once again after so many time, I knew that any thief could come, plunder the crypt and steal the sword. But I put The Legend of Red Eagle's book near the sword, so that everyone could know what this sword was about. Therefore, one could hope than another adventurer would grab it and fulfill the purpose that had been given to it. May the Reach find another eagle to express its fury. It would not be me. What is really great about Skyrim is that you can become much more than just a "player". You can really live your adventures and feel the relevance of your path through the lands of Skyrim. That little story was taken from one of my gameplays, and I didn't change or emphasize it. In fact, you can truly experience things like this while just playing the game. With a bit of imagination and immersion, you can become the greatest adventurer ever. ;)

Currently binging these and picturing my skyrim gang chilling around a fire as one of them just reads. Nice relaxing way to end a week straight of sprinting across mountains

Gopher's voice is so good that if Siri had a boyfriend it would be him.

The story of Red Eagle is much more sad in tone if you play as a Stormcloak and complete the questline before doing the Red Eagle quest, because here you are to greet him so that he may rule the Reach after it has been retaken... but now he rises and attempts to slay you, a shadow of what he once stood for.

So Red Eagle was actually Forsworn. I feel sorry for them now :(

One of my favorite books/stories in the game. Bethesda somehow needs to hire Gopher to be apart of the Fall Out and Elder Scrolls lore. Similar to M'aiq.

Cape of the Red Eagle is a rare/unique item in Cloaks of Skyrim mod. It's a very nice nod to the tale.

The quest could have been done so much better with a unique look to the weapon rather than just an enchanted ancient nord sword with a fancy name.

I was randomly doing the quest on another playthrough when I found the book on a table in a Forsworn encampment, and thought: _"I wanna refresher on the story, but don't feel like reading this. I wonder if there's a channel that narrates this stuff"_ 🤔 I found this a minute later. Thanks!

If you're serious how about this: a mod that makes unique/legendary weapons or armor, and Daedric artifacts scale with player level or skill in whatever tree they are from. For example, one handed would increase the Nettlebane, while the Masque of Clavicus Vile would scale with heavy armor. If possible put two on/off toggles in MCM; one for unique items, and one for Daedric artifacts. Also, a slider for each to decide the amount that the mod improves the items or artifacts by.

Lore presentation in this way is better imho. As in DA or ME, all the lore you get is by clicking something. In ES you have to actually fined and read the book = how you actually learn something properly. Skyrim have awesome questlines like DB, Thieves Guild, Daedra. Even Dawnguard & Dragonborn have good storylines. Col O Winterhold & Companions are missed opportunities.
