I’m not sure where to share challenge ideas. But one thing I’d like to see is a challenge to play Skyrim without being able to freely explore. How much of Skyrim do the quests lead you through? The rules I’ve thought up are: 1. You may only travel somewhere that you have a quest objective. You need a quest objective to go to towns, or explore dungeons, and the like. 2. You can not buy or craft item, you are limited to quest rewards, required looting like Arvel’s inventory in Bleakfalls and the drauger’s at the end, and similar situations. 3. Miscellaneous quests that serve as introductions to guild or faction quests are disallowed for navigation. As is the main quest beyond slaying the first dragon. 4. When you go somewhere, you must complete at least one quest tied to there. You can’t put off quests you have accepted indefinitely. Your objective under these limitations is to collect all of the stones of barenziah. Using a mod to track the stones would be permitted purely to track them, but not as an excuse to travel. As an example situation, if you wanted to go to Windhelm or Winterhold, you could get there by accepting the court mage’s quest in Riften that directs you there.

You really outdid yourself with this video's script. I'd say you're my favourite Bethesda challenge youtuber because your content is creative and thoughtful. You explain your thought process in these videos better than a lot of other challenge youtubers, who seem to just recite what happens between the first and last day without much elaboration on what makes the challenge different, how one needs to adapt their gameplay to fit it, and what someone can glean from game design as a result. The beginning explanation about video game inventories telling stories on their own I think is a perfect encapsulation of what I mean when I say all of this.

I think in this challenge, your main flaw was you tried to do too much at once. Using your item slot on a shield is a good idea in theory, but the fact that you lose out on things like the ability to dual cast Healing Hands to keep your follower alive meant there were many situations where your follower took too much DPS at once and died for it. You might have been better suited having the one item in your inventory being the unenchanted Steel Armor the Jarl of Whiterun gives you for going to him the first time after you finish the tutorial-it means you can (if you're concerned about dying early) level Restoration and Heavy Armor by letting Mudcrabs hit you a bunch so that you can get the basic Resto perks (+50% spell effectiveness, half magicka cost for Resto spells, healing spells restore Stamina, etc) while also levelling your Armor stat so you can maybe survive a little better against the physical attacks you kept tanking.
@backslash414110 ай бұрын
Nah, if you're going for the best way to play this run, then you go stealth and probably wizard. Level sneak at the start of the game (sneak attack hadvar/ralof repeatedly) and then level illusion so you can get the silent spells. Now you have a fancy stealth archer (since an actual stealth archer needs 2 inventory slots minimum) The other option is just get muffle and invis and the 15× sneak attack on daggers and do that.
@BlackfeatherMain9 ай бұрын

Btw, there is an awesome mod (that I'm not currently using because 2k+ modlist is already tight enough as is) called Nemesis that revamps death for it to be some sort of Shadows of Mordor mechanic, where you respawn in a safe area but you lose some of your stuff and whatever killed you gets a buff and a cool name depending on how did they kill you (say you die to a fire spell from a mage, he would be called "The Burning Sage" and would have some sort of magic/fire damage buff and probably have equiped whatever you lost from your inventory. It can be a bit unfair at times if you have mods with crazy items, but on a light modlist Imo it's amazing; whatever regular travel from point A to B on a fetch quest can end up becoming a full on campaign trying to get revenge (and your stuff back) from "Blood Fang", a Redguard bandit that not only stole your daedric artifact, but also deals bleeding on-hit.

I went to eat at my favorite restaurant the other day. You know what I ordered? I got a mouth watering hamburger. I waited 20 minutes for it to arrive and they gave me only the damn buns. I asked them, "What the hell?!" The waiter responds calmly, "Sir, you must wait the rest of the burger to arrive." I told him in a annoyed tone, "Fine." As the evening progressed, I kept getting bits and pieces of the burger. First the lettuce. Then the cheese. Once the patty finally came, they started taking parts like the cheese and the top bun from me. I ask the waiter in a pissed tone, "What the ♥♥♥♥! Where are my top bun and cheese going?" He told me, "Since your plate lacks sufficient room and you are no longer enjoying them, we are removing them from your plate." Now, I'm stuck here with parts of a burger and throughout my service I get different types of the same toppings. First it was romaine lettuce, then it was iceberg. I get basic white bread buns. Now, I have brioche. I have lost all sense of time and understanding of what my meal should look like. The patty has grown cold, and I swear I heard it mooing from how underdone half this ♥♥♥♥ is coming out. I don't know why I stay here paying an annual subscription for new burger parts I can't even enjoy for more than a passing moment at best. The restaurant laid off 8% of their staff due to missing projections by 45% and management is the only thing on this green Earth straying further from God everyday. I've spent 3.7k hours waiting on this finished product, and the only light at the end of the tunnel is this thing the kitchen is calling, "The Final Patty," whatever the ♥♥♥♥ that means. There is one last hope to bring this meal to a bearable conclusion, and I will jump ship if I lose another ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ piece of cheese for another cheaper kind along the way. My final warning to anyone wanting to visit this place. DON'T!!! Save yourself while you have your autonomy intact. This burger will be the death of me. I can't take it anymore. I feel the walls of establishment shaking from disrepair. This little song and dance with my waiter is driving me insane. My exhaustion in this review of this putrid establishment is audible in writing. This ruse is impossible to maintain so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bye bye. - Destiny Review

@@626lancerhow much time you spent on it? If you play more you enjoy it less, i spent 8000 hours in d1 and 2 combined and it got boring for sure, after all the stupid.decisions i agree with first comment, if final shape is not amazing i am out, the content vault is the worst thing ever, i still want to play old raids

I really loved that intro. It's true, your inventory in any game can tell the story of your playthrough and a bit of yourself too. I'm also really fond of inventory management in most games. And that editing was just really cool btw.
