@@ladybritt9366 The thing about skyrim is you can play 4 3 months and not even come close to beating it. This is skyrim, you're starting your main questline. Once you get to a town there's a dude who says, "Help! I lost my wallet in that cave over there." So, you take a break and get the guy's wallet. When you come out there's a woman who says, "If you help me find my cat, I'll give you some mead." So off you go. Before you find the cat, you run into a sad bear who says, "*Sob!* Some bullies stole my honey." Since you have a heart that burns with the flame of justice you run off to help the bear. Until you find the giant who needs help because he's wheel broke, and he needs you to go into a ruin to get a special wood 4 him. On the way you get lost and end up completing 9 caves. Which took longer than if you went back to the giant and started your track again. In the end you never went back to the main quest or turned in the side quest you finished.

So there was a study where they left people alone in a room with nothing in it except for a button that gave them a painful electric shock. A little over half the people got bored enough they zapped themselves at least once. One outlier did it something like 67 times. I feel like Laughing Simon might be that outlier

So it may not work in your particular scenario, but in most cases "Npc's walk and run at your pace" works to make NPCs jog

if the NPC uses an AI package to go places, you can change the preferred speed in the creation kit to running, if im not mistaken could always console them and setav their speed mad high, too.
