A In depth tutorial on how to install the Eldergleam modpack for Skyrim Special Edition.

Here’s some advice if you’re getting log errors check your folders and make sure and I will say it again for some make sure you have the anniversary dlc pack if you do not have it then you will get an error this guys video is legit and probably one of the most truth telling without skipping steps I ever watched. Some of yaw are like I have an error upgrade your game and download dlc and see if that solves if that does not work then try to run the install again make sure all of the folders are correct and it should work. I ran into all of the errors and issues but upgrading mine worked after i downloaded dlc

Little tip, make a folder for your mod lists and make a download folder for all of your downloads, helps with clutter

okay so its working for me now i just need to switch back to native resolution on my screen and drop back too 100 percent meaning not zoomed in to make icons bigger ..my icons are tiny on my destop now but it works.. thanks Zennpachi for your help..i guess it wasnt freezing it was just super zoomed in

Hi! Thnx for such an in debth tutorial. I have one issue though: my installation seems to be stuck at downloading files (1225 files downloaded and no further progress). The mods preview pictures still rolling but there seems to be no progress in installation. Any advice on what can be done? Should I try closing wabbajack to start over? Or I will lose progress this way?

Hi could be a big mod that needs a while to install but if that isn't the case restarting wabbajack will resume from where you left off.

From there, select Properties and then the Language tab. You can then choose one of the available languages from the drop-down options.

Hi there's a few things you should do differently, first of all instead of downloading the top link download the NO CV version of the mod that is linked in the description then follow the video as normal, no need to do the download stuff at the beginning unless you choose to buy AE content for the CC version of the mod pack

Hello, i have a problem, the AE version of skyrim does not download the content Once I start the game, a window appears to download the content, but when you press it it only lasts a few seconds and does not download anything. Yes, the installation is clean. What can I do?

Hi I have heard of this issue but only one time so not sure if it applies to you, but if you are on ethernet or wired Internet switch to WiFi reboot your PC and launch skyrim after enabling AE dlc on steam if that doesn't fix it ill see if I can find anything else on the subject

I found something else that might fix it, Try deleting Skyrim ini files in Documents>My Games>SSE. It should prompt the AE content download whenever you relaunch the game.

the Attack_MCO-DXP mod isn't listed on nexus anymore so I have to download it manually from the website. But because of this issue, I'm unable to continue the installation process properly. Any solution to this issue? thanks

Hi I've had issues like this on other mod packs what I usually do is move the mod I downloaded into the downloads folder of the installation and then pause and resume installation on wabbajack and it continued to install for me

(I got there are files in yout overwrite directory and script extender log reports incompatible plugins which failed to load pls help someone I finished the download but these messages come up on the mod organiser, i am very confused) Scrap that i fixed that but i do have another issue My game is laggu and i want to remove the fabled forest mod as the trees are causing it im pretty sure but it comes up with a masters missing problem and im not sure how i am able yo get rid of it eithout causing issues

Yeah so you'll need to find that mod and download it manually, make sure its the one for special edition not Le edition and then move that zip file into the download folder in the mod pack install folder, (the one you selected in wabbajack) then pause and resume wabajack install

For anyone asking which is better lorerim or eldergleam. I will answer that simply for people that want a straight answer. If you wanna mod and a game to build and want the game to load up fast with good graphics with less crashes eldergleam is what you want, if you want a big game that’s basically redone that’s already built lore rim is the game but I will say 86% of the mods you download and put in yourself will be glitchy from how many mods their are or the mod won’t work in general, it crashes like crazy and I have a 4090, a lot of yaw know it boots up slow and it does sometimes so slow that it crashes the whole game and you can’t add to it. now you can take some of the files and add it to elder gleam if you know what you’re doing. if you wanna play through using little to no added mods lorerim if you wanna add mods and more stuff elder gleam. Lorerim has a little bit better graphics but they are about the same but lorerim has the most issues. I picked elder gleam due to the fact that all my added mods work I can add in animation of my own and I can build on it and it never crashes it’s always running smooth it may run higher on gpu temp then lorerim which is crazy because it’s almost twice the size but it’s definitely more worth it

Check the log thing and see which mod it's stalling at, find and manually download that mod and place the .zip file in the mod installation download folder then pause and resume the download and it should work

Just downloaded it all and booted up... half the textures and graphics look like they are missing... I removed the downloads folder as mentioned in the video to free up space but I'm scared that deleted all these texture mods...??

Deleting downloads will not affect the install so I'm not sure why you've got missing textures, I recommend messaging the eldergleam discord as they will be able to help you.

@@McVerdict Yeah.. I ended up getting it working actually! It was awesome. The mod is incredible, however, I booted up the game/mod again and half the textures are missing again (after doing nothing or not changing anything). Really sad about this... why can't things just work with PC :(

I have tried downloading the mod again and again with the same result and believe it could be something with the 'overwrite' file in Mod Organiser 2.. do you know how to fix issues with Mod Organiser 2 and the overwrite file? Hey unfortunately this won't work on Xbox as many mods utilise SKSE which is a script extender not available on console.

Try turning off Enb and running on ultra performance, also make sure its installed on an ssd as hard drive can impact performance. That's all I can think of, it runs super smoothly on my end
