Skyrim Pure Argonian build walkthrough challenge where we are only allowed to use 6 race-specific skills: Light Armor, Sneak, Lockpicking, Pickpocket, Restoration and Alteration. Played on Legendary difficulty, Skyrim Anniversary Edition, PC version by hardcore veteran, Major Slack.
FAIR WARNING: This walkthrough is largely for demonstrational purposes only, i.e., the intent is to demonstrate once and for all (and with video proof) exactly what can and cannot be done with a Pure Argonian build. With these rules of engagement, I really don't expect to be able to produce a kick-ass build that is truly fun to play on Legendary difficulty.
I expect it to be more like a royally tedious punch-drunk pain-in-the-ass. But we're gonna lay this run down anyway, just for posterity.
Basically, I will suffer so you don't have to. 8)

A few MODS disable achievements, so it might be affecting the Diplomatic Immunity stats

I have been playing along with this walkthrough since the beginning. I actually find it to be a fascinating exercise in patience. I wouldn't want to play this character more than once, but it has been a refreshing alternative to other builds in which one usually finds oneself with at least one powerful offensive attack by this point in the game. I really love that you came back to Skyrim, Slack, with the pure wood elf; but in this Argonian build it has been awesome to watch your creativity. Thanks again, and Merry Christmas, etc.!

I've played this through more than a dozen times and it was only this time watching that I realized Esbern is voiced by Max von Sydow. I'm loving this series Major Slack, especially because I'm not crazy enough to try it myself.

according to Steam 48.9% of players have the Diplomatic Immunity achievement, given that I still play Oldrim it still seems a low percentage but more reasonable. On this Anniversay Edition it might make sense though, I assume most of the players know Skyrim well and it's not like the main quest is THAT interesting to finish

"So there is a thief and a vampire here? I don't think I have ever seen this before" I think that's a feature of the Pure Argonian. I think the game is competing with you on "hold my beer watch this" events. After all, trying to get through Skyrim just punching things, is pretty crazy.

Assuming the steam achievements are like PlayStation’s, mods would disable achievements which would account for the low number. I’m pretty sure my trophies are super low considering the actual hours spent on the game.

I'm with you Slack on the escort missions. They drive me nuts. I was wondering if you were going to do more with the pure Dark Elf run before we see some '' Pure Slack''. Either way its worth the price of admission. Thanks.

👍 I think this is the actual answer. I was going to say it's because the main story kinda sucks... But that's probably just me. Fortunately... Plenty else to do in Skyrim. Plenty else. *To be clear: I LOVE Skyrim.

Interesting! SAE Dip Immunity 10-21-2017. Don't remember the last time I actually completed the main quest line. Most of my chars don't make it that far but I've been playing since 2011. Between mods and maybe people doing different builds and different quests, who knows.

Thought the Diplomatic Immunity thing was interesting, so I checked to see if I had the achievement... and saw that 48.9% of players had the achievement. But then I noticed... wait... there are 2 Skyrim games, and I was looking at the original one. When I looked at the Special Edition, it has the 21.4% cited here. (In both cases, I have the achievement). Still kind of weird so few people have it in either edition.

Diplomatic Immunity on Xbox only has 16% of players completed. Completing Bleak Falls Barrow is the highest, at 32%. It's gotta be mods disabling achievements, right? But then looking at some other games I see more questionable percentages. For example, in Dragons Dogma 2, only 80% of players made it to the first town?? That's basically just the tutorial. That's better than Skyrim's numbers, so I think mods are part of the reason, but I think there's more to the mystery.

I find that 21.4% of people have that achievement is rather low. What is more surprising is the number of people who have all the achievements done (I am one such person who did them all).

Checked Steam stats for Skyrim on my account, it's showing 48.9% for Diplomatic Immunity. Maybe there is separate counting for Skyrim vanilla, Special Edition, Legendary Edition (which is what I'm running), and Anniversary Edition? Unless it's mods disabling achievements, as I may have...er...one or two mods running... Also I had my fingers crossed for when you were meeting Delphine at Katla's farm, the last time I did that part of the quest a dragon popped up while Malborn had all my gear, and I had nothing but party clothes! Not cool.

On the achievement part, since achievements get turned off when you use mods I suspect that is why its so low.

I think that's part of it. Maybe even most of it. But I also see weird numbers for other games that don't have mods that would disable achievements. I think some people disable their achievements voluntarily.

Escort missions sucks any game. one of the games i play you have an escort mission in area that is lvl 90 and the person you have to escort is lvl 5. It is a nightmare.

Can't you use sun spells on the vampire traveler instead of punching them? The sun spells only hurt undead so you don't have to worry about hitting one of the villagers or guards by accident.

He never put them on at the embassy. He was fighting bare handed there too. 25:02 He still has them, (Brawlers Glass Gauntlets) but they aren't equipped.

Idk if it's possible, but would Nightingale Strife be possible to get? It sucks that it is at the end of the entire Thieves Guild quest line, but it's another option for doing static damage.
