Skyrim Roleplay: Precaution Way too Far

Markarth is worse than I lead myself to believe. The guards have been covering up murders for months, probably since the start of Ulfric's rebellion, and I don't have to look too far to see who is paying them off. The Sliver Bloods. Staunch supporters of Ulfric. If he ever manages to take the city, I'm sure they'll be all to eager to please their so call high king.
Perhaps I should pick a side soon in the conflict? End the war once and for all. That way Skyrim can gain some amount of stability.
