Was the last game I had been playing before my 360 crashed for like the umpteenth time. Was a disk drive issue but I squeezed a good couple years out of this game and senoritis kicked like a horse so I didn't do anything about it. Life got pretty busy for the next 5 years that had followed but this game I saw was SUPER cheap on the marketplace a little over a year ago and I still play it vanilla. Haven't spent the crazy amount of hours I did as a kid but it's fun to remember all the side quest as I'm positive I 100 percented this bitch. Gaming kinda got weird too after this game

Every dragon you slayer felt like you may do it with your own problems and difficulties. Just slay them and bath in Victory. I never forget the moment when i got my first homestead. After a long journey, just to rest in your cozy home where you can stay for a couple of days and just enjoy the life. Skyrim is a game for itself and one to remember. Like a guard in Skyrim says to you, you say to the game: "Hey, I know you!"

“I hope Skyrim has helped you in some way throughout your life". Hell, yes. In 2011 I played Skyrim for the first time and really liked the dragon language in that game. Then I started learning English. Now I'm studying to become a translator. Of course, I won't become a master of the Voice, but Words can really change the world around us. This game changed my whole life, became the beginning of my work, repeatedly supported me in difficult situations. I am crying.
@Ball1501
@Ball1501 3 жыл бұрын
I'm a translator. I was halfway through college when I first played Skyrim, and, like most games I've played, it helped me develop my English skills, apart from the fun I've always had with it. I've since graduated and started working in the field, and I am now transitioning to simultaneous interpretation. Loving languages and games has always been a part of that.

Skyrim got me through my dad’s death. We were very close. I wasn’t much of a gamer, and I wasn’t fond of turning to drugs, smoking, or alcohol to cope with the loss, so I turned to movies, music, exercise, but it just wasn’t enough. I bought and loaded up Skyrim on my new Xbox I got for Christmas in 2011. Damn it felt good to get lost in that world. We just saw the movie Thor together before his death and the Viking-esque game was nostalgic and awesome. It made me miss him, but I also felt closer to him, like he was right there with me on a continent called Tamriel on a world called Nirn in a Realm called Mundus, in a Void called the Aurbis, called a game disc. Bless my sweet wife who helped me through that time. She watched me play and we have so many fond memories of the game - everything from the cool intense parts to the downright hilarious glitches and awkward encounters. Skyrim will always hold a special place in my heart.

Since playing Skyrim for the first time, I have: lost my mom, lost my sister, dropped out of high school, became an addict, became homeless, got clean, got a job, got an apartment, got addicted again, got clean again, lost my dad, and finally completed a dream in building a dream PC with my own money. I have dovahzul tattooed on my right arm for a reason. This is the only game I have played consistently through all my hardship. EDIT: I appreciate all the kinds words. I got addicted once again but I am currently fighting it. As of today, 1/27/22, I am in recovery. I'm doing quite well. I have a very organized program in place and things are looking really good. Every other time I have been this far into withdrawal, I've felt so much worse than I do right now. Now I'm studying, I'm getting support from the few people that I do have, and I'm having fun playing Skyrim. By 2023 my life will be on a fast upward trajectory, and I hope my parents are looking down on me smiling. I am always looking up to them.

man now im crying skyrim helped get through the most difficult phase i've ever had in my entire life, with depression, parents death, mental health issues, and most of all my autistic disorder. its been real hard for me ever since but skyrim helped me through a lot, because of my autism always have been hard to make friends, but skyrim helped me open up to people and be more social about everything basically i'll be forever grateful for it Edit: im just happy and joyful just seeing everyone sharing their stories and how games, more specifically skyrim, changed their lives. i hope everyone is having the time of their lives right now, even if you aren't please don't give up, everything will end up fine in the end!

I'm father of 4 year old boy, diagnosed with autistic disorder 2 years ago. It is a rough experience for a parent, but I'm trying to give him mas much love and attention, as I can. In the late evenings, when he's asleep, I'm visiting Skyrim to get some relief and charge my batteries. I've played Morrowind and Oblivion a lot in my school days, but I've bought Skyrim only couple of months ago. Since that time, fighting with dragons, exploring different locations, helping Skyrim people or just wandering across whole open world - all this stuff helps me going through as well. I've never thought, that Skyrim may be also some kind of therapy to autistic person. I think, I will introduce my little son to it, when he grows old enough. Thank you for sharing that! :-) Wish you all the best! :-)

Even the hope that comes from memories of that shiny world will fade sooner or later. You realise that it's all gone and means nothing. We can live _for_ the moment, as the moment continues to also become less and less enjoyable due to loss and the disabilities of age... Or we can make the most of the moment while planning for the future and better times to come (wisdom gained from your past). That's the only way to survive on an eternal scale - never losing hope in the future. For me, that means never losing hope in Christ. I don't see another way.

I wasn't expecting that to make me cry. Like, that hit a special place in my heart. Skyrim has been my favorite game since I first played it, just a couple days after it released. The day it came out was also my wedding day. For our 3rd anniversary, we got matching Thieves Guild tattoos. Since then I got into streaming it, working on mod projects, and writing fics. When I had a health scare, I played nothing but Skyrim between episodes of the office while recovering after getting out of the hospital. Skyrim is home and comfort for me. So much of my life has changed these past 10 years, and so much of it has been bad. The past 2 have been bad for almost everyone. But Skyrim is and forever will be my second home.

The bullies at school saw that as a challenge and kept trying to fight me and bullied my friends until i was removed from my friend group. I grew depressed after i ended up having to stay home from the bullying and stuff. I eventually dropped out and got homeschooled before covid hit and i was playing skyrim and fallout the entire time. This game distracted me from my depression long enough for me to get over it and start talking to people again. I loved the adventures in this game and i love the the adventures ive had in my own world but i love this game and its community. You people are amazing and i can't wait for the next game

This hit me right in the feels. I actually teared up listening to him like he was a long lost friend. I cant express how much it means that bethesda put this in there. It shows that they really do acknowledge us and they know without us, there would be no skyrim. We have all changed in the last 10 years but my love for this game has never gone away. The developers need to know that Skyrim has helped me in some of the worst times in my life by giving me an outlet and by giving me a world to explore. As i sit here typing this i am looking at the Skyrim main menu and hearing the music and it gives me great pleasure to press "New" game. Long time no see old friend. I never forgot you either. Time for another adventure. Thank you for always being there. Fus Roh Dah.

@@silentdaggerfall5387 it's an AI voice synthesizer, they just trained it to replicate that particular voice. You can tell it's an AI by the raspiness and lack of expression in the voice.

"Do you remember the first time you came to Whiterun all those years ago?" I'd ask ya'll if you can even imagine how weird it feels to get all misty-eyed emotional over memories of when you first not-quite-visited a not-quite-real town... but you're here. Of course you understand.

This is so good. I cried when I watched the original and man. You did an amazing job emulating it. And 10+ points for not making an arrow in the knee joke at the last second. You had the perfect chance to. And instead you gave us a confidence boost. Thank you

I bought Skyrim day one - 11/11/11. I remembered having a blast experiencing it. Since that day - I've experienced a friend pass away, a sibling pass away, a friend's father who committed suicide, I got married (even when it was legal to do so in the US at the time) bought a house, and so much more. Skyrim has always been there, my fall back escape to help me through the arrows in the knee life shot at me and made my high points higher than the Throat of the World. I love this game and I don't think there will ever be a moment where I don't love this game :-)

From a dishwasher in a pizza place, who started to love cooking and used skyrim as an escape as well as a place I was allowed to cook! To here at the anniversary, a Sous Chef leading 3 restaurants in a Casino/Resort. Thank you Skyrim. You've done a little for a lot.

I only got to play Skyrim in 2014, when I managed to get enough money through work to buy myself a decent PC. It used to be my therapy after those stressful days; I’d boot it up and just walk aimlessly with Inigo appreciating the views and music. My PC died 2 years ago and I’m seriously thinking about getting a new one and experience Skyrim again for the 70th time, lol. Such a great game and such a great video. Well done!
