So 3 years later and I doubt you'd care at all, but I first fought this guy with Legacy of the Dragonborn installed, and he dropped a unique axe called "Reaper's Bane". Totally thought it was vanilla until watching this. Anyways, if you want a cool axe, check out Legacy of the Dragonborn.

I have a theory on Hiemskr, the man yelling about Talos in Whiterun! It's not completely perfect, but it started when I went into his house (of course to kill him while he slept). I first noticed a little set of chairs, facing a place where he could possibly preach his gospel. Nothing super unusual, except for the face of the skulls nearby. He has four skulls in his house. At first I didn't think too much of it, until I made my way to his bed to kill him. In there I noticed a bottle of vigorous magicka, which doesn't make any sense since he shows no signs of being a mage and also most nords who preach Talos and the true way of the nords are against the use of magic, as it is weak and blood is always better. Since I was so curious about what was going on, I picked up a book underneath his bed, called, "Gods and Worship." The book entails normal ways the the people of Tamriel worship their gods, but it also lists how the mortals only hope of getting the attention of a God is to make a SACRIFICE. I believe he is possible sacrificing people (possibly Thalmor) in order to get the attention of Talos, so he will intervene and help the Stormcloaks win the civil war. He could be using the magic himself or hiring mages to help him and giving them the bottle of magicka as payment. I'm not really sure. I would really appreciate it if you would look at this theory and help me put the pieces in the puzzle. Maybe even make a video if it's good enough

There is a very obvious thing that people ignore about his preaching which suggests to me that he might indeed be contacted by Talos and might have reached a status of a prophet or that he somehow managed to achieve extremely obscure knowledge. He is preaching from a book tied to the Order of the One/Marukhati called The Many Headed Talos which is nowhere to be found in the game and exists only as an out of game text. I can't think of any simple way for someone like Heimskr to get that text in Whiterun, which would mean that he actually had prophetic visions from Talos or that he somehow managed to become one of the member of secretive orders tied to Talos.

You can actually catch him sacrificing someone but he'll try to sacrifice you as well for witnessing his crime.. I'm not sure how or when you can catch him, but if you get irritated by his attacks just go outside and stop attacking him back or else the guards will ignore him, attack you and then you have a bounty in whiterun

A funny quirk of this boss is that you don't need any fragments to fight him. When you go in, just place a bunch of runes (frost, fire, shock, doesn't really matter) on the bone pile where he is, and he'll aggro, allowing you to kill him.

Death typications tend to go towards bounty hunter/executioner personalities, so an executioners axe works. Daedric Axe woulda been better for gameplay reasons or maybe even a Unique but eh it is Bethesda

Hey ESO like your videos so far. Did you know that in the Shrine of Meridia (Kilkreath Ruins/temple) Meridia shows a light beam (which im sure you know) but standing in front of the Meridia Beam does magic damage to your player (pretty quickly i might add) and as soon as you magic depetes it takes health (rather slowly), BUT if you have ANY Alteration Armor (like Oatflesh, Stoneflesh, Ebonyflesh [not sure if dragonflesh works although it should]) your alteration level/mastery skyrockets like crazy, in my opinion this is a MUCH easier and faster way to level alteration than "Detect Life" since without the restro loop detect life drains your energy very quicly (even with Master Alteration Robes) and even WITH the restro potion glitch (basically a limitless supply of magic) it still take a while for it to level even in a crowded location.

From there I was able to hop up to the low parapet.

I wish that when they made this version of the game they added new material, this is just the same game with enhanced graphics. I've fought every boss found everything everywhere. Yes I got the skeleton horse killed the reaper can summon skeletal warriors and a zombie dragon. I fought a skeletal dragon underground found one in a dwarven Chandelier. Killed the Ebony warrior got the ring of necromancy and the ring of Ahzidal, I even killed poor Karstag....just wish it was a little more than the same old game. Well at least we can still do stupid things to amuse ourselves like getting a weaponised fork and knife and add fire damage to a wooden sword.

I was already super leveled up when I got this quest plus I had the Sanguine Rose and a Staff of Flame Atronach in addition to Serana, and I used them both, at the same time, thinking it would help a lot, which it did, and I got this boss d.e.d. way faster than I expected so I didn't get to see what he looked like. DONT PUT IT ON LEGENDARY (EVEN THUGH IM LATE TO THE PARTY) legendary will just make it take WAY longer than you need caue all legendary does is change dmg dealt by you and dmg done to you so even if you have a high dmg spell it will be useless and take months of grinding this way I suggest using a level below adept to make it go faster but healing will be a DRASTIC MUST for the horse

It's weird when I fought him on the Xbox 360 version of the legendary edition (game for Xbox 360 that first came out that had all DLC attached* he dropped a dragon bone axe for me...I now have the remastered version for PS4 and got the same thing, a regular axe and 3 black soul gems

I have completed every quest, and every achievement on Skyrim, except for the vampire perks achievement, and doing the dawnguard main quest line as a vamp. This reminds me of my Grim Reaper Build, basically I use DragonBone Armor with Torturers hood with a DragonBone Waraxe with Would Trap and Frost Damage (Grim Reaper takes your Soul and is known to be Cold). I also made him a Vampire but never transform into a Vampire Lord, you're just in it for the bonuses. You use Illusion and Conjuration spells (Dead Thrall, Frenzy, Pacify Invisibility and Paralyze). You decide who gets to live and die with Frenzy and Pacify, the Character can be any race you like since there are different depictions of death.
