Thingonometry - Fallout 4 was terrible. I expected disappointment because Bethesda. The graphics makes everything look like it was made out of plastic, the voice acting is so awfully bad I can't give less shit about the story, the story is ehhh and the Mass Effect-like speech options are awful as they don't make any fucking difference other than joke, a yes and a no. Also the same fucking engine as Morrowind has. I quit after I killed that bandit leader guy and I have no will to return. Also the puzzles are the same in Skyrim, they are not puzzles - only stuff you turn/press to add time to the dungeon/cave/whatever. The only improvements were movement, and the gun modifications were nice I guess.
@IwinTHEGAMEOFTHRONES9 жыл бұрын
Mike Wright I agree that the technical stuff about the game is pretty lacking by 2015 standards (I mean Witcher 3 just kills it in every category you mentioned), but the amount of fun i've had with the game makes up for all the little things i don't like in my opinion

It's cool, but where the hell did he found the "joy of exploration" in Skyrim? As a experienced and mature gamer, i've only found things like: generic quests, long and boring dungeons (with a "secret" door to start, or even another exit!) - and for what? An upleveled "boss" and a fancy chest with randomly-generated junk-loot? The thing i really like in Morrowind, that you really have the Joy. You can find a pair of dwemer boots with levitation on a hard-to-find-place in generic cave on level 1. Game starts with memorable quote, like: "Go outside and do whatever". And almost no one explains you anything. You can easily kill questguy, you can rob anyone, you can do whatever you like, really! Aaaand there's Skyrim. Cool game, but they give you a hand, and in every town there some people that, of course, desperatly in need. There 5 hours long sneaky tutorial and introduction to the game, like boasting ("Look, we have dragons, go kill some!"), forcing you to avoid traps by voice and etc.. Skyrim's (and Oblivion too) main problem, IMO, i that when you open a door to dungeon, you can really predict what to expect.

"We can do anything, but we can't do everything." Which is precisely why modding tools is a great idea. There are so many things that developers don't have the time to do. They can only focus on so many aspects of a game. Everything else is up to the modding community. I'm thinking of getting Elderscrolls VI (I'm not referring to the online game) on PC instead of console. There are some awesome looking mods for Skyrim, and I feel I'm missing out.
