This exact line of thought is why that lore reason for no flying is actually pretty weak. Since when does anyone follow the laws? There is a guild for murder. There is a guild for theft. So many people either openly or secretly worship Talos. Like there is a lot of content based around rule breaking, it makes no since that everyone just casually follows the no flying rule.
@Luckmann2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the "levitation act" is absolutely retarded. Necromancy is illegal too - doesn't stop seemingly countless people from engaging in it. The Telvanni could not have given any less of a shit about some toothless decree by the White-Gold Tower.

Morrowind has many secrets and a few questions some of Elder Scrolls history, like what really happened to the Dwemer. If you explore Morrowind and do some searching and reading, you learn that many groups and many people believe many ideas of what happened to the Dwemer during the battle of Red Mountain. You also learn that the Nerevarine was murdered. By whom? If you play the DLC Tribunal, it gives a hint or who did it. Note, it also suggests Vivec lied about the History of Red Mountain. As for Dwemer, some of the theories you may discover, Dwemer didn't die they merged into another group, they removed themselves from our time=line, they removed us from the original time like, they were wiped out by the Tribunal, or they never left and History of the Battle of Red Mountain was a possible hoax as told by Vivec (One group, who claimed to be there says it didn't happen that way). That's just one, Morrowind has many secrets and some of those have secrets to that secret.

I'll have to set a counter-argument to the 'secret war' secret: firstly, Solstheim is implied to be a direct Imperial holding in Bloodmoon, *not* part of Skyrim from the perspective of the Empire, and secondly, trying to capture the island and remove the Imperial fort wouldn't necessarily be done by direct military force. There's no other references to this event elsewhere, it is true... *except* that we hear of King Thian of Solitude annexing "several former Imperial fiefs" and "sponsoring exploratory missions even farther from the mainland into the misty waters of the Sea of Ghosts" in the Third Edition Pocket Guide, published shortly before Oblivion.

It's a very tangible possibility that Solstheim is moving. Think about it, it used to be a part of Skyrim's solid landmass, but then it broke off because of Miraak's fight with the Dragon Priest and got pushed so far away from Skyrim, so maybe it just never settled down after that, maybe it's not tied to the tectonic plates as tightly as every other landmass is.

When Miraak and Vahlok battled, their battle was so fierce and intense that the very ground ripped and teared resulting in the formation of the island. Perhaps the same forces are still acting upon it thanks to one of the laws of motion. An object will continue in a direction unless another force acts against it. I believe that the island is actually floating in a way. The island could be it's own tectonic plate. Since the battle was so powerful, nothing as of now can stop the island in its tracks, (except maybe the dragonborn or super magic) just slow it down until one day it no longer moves. I didn't explain that as well as I wanted but that is my theory. The island was pushed by Miraak and Vahlok's battle, the island became it's own tectonic plate and is floating on the molten core, drifting ever further thanks to papa Newton.

What Elder Scrolls Skyrim did for the franchise as a whole. Is the same as what Elder Scrolls Morrowind did. It not only helped make the franchise bigger and better with the fanbase, But also put a spot light on previous Elder Scrolls games. It also changed how we played video games everywhere.

It would be cool if miraak’s robes were renamed to “Dragonborn robes” so that the player could go to miraak and show they were a fully realized dovahkiin. When unlocking the robes, it’s renamed to “*insert player name*’s Dragonborn robes”.

Im more amazed at the fact that despite that one guy being a Dark Elf, his skin isn't actually dark. Perhaps the only one of his kind left untouched after what the gods did to them after the battle at Red Mountain. Surely THAT should be number one on this list? That you get to meet the ONLY untainted "dark elf" left?

Too lazy to look through your videos to find if you've done it before, but... there's a small quest to bring a book from an author, Adonato Leotelli, in Windhelm, to a member of the Bard's College in Solitude. It's a drama he had been writing for a while called "Olaf and the Dragon," that he had been unable to deliver due to road conditions and the war. The item you're given is simply called "Adonato's Book." Upon renting a room in the Winking Skeever in Solitude, you can actually find a published copy of this very drama... even immediately after the story is turned in to the College.
@MaroonRaptor665 жыл бұрын
Once again, far too lazy to skim through the videos... As part of the Thieves' Guild questline, you're instructed to investigate Goldenglow Estate, which is responsible for much of the honey brought in for Black-Briar Meadery. The note that you find in Aringoth's safe, as part of the quest's objective list, reads off a name, "Gulum-Ei," and is headed by a curious, unknown symbol to mark the author. (This Argonian, who has been known to assist the Thieves' Guild in payment cuts from what he takes from the East Empire Company's shipments, can be met in the Winking Skeever in Solitude.) In the very next quest, in which you are tasked to shut down Honningbrew Meadery for Maven Black-Briar, the same symbol appears on another business letter. Upon completion of this quest, you're told to speak to Mercer. He points out that the first note reads off "Gajul-Lei" and that the real name of this character is "Gulum-Ei." However, that note doesn't read off Gajul-Lei at all... in fact, the only other time that name comes up is when you're interrogating Gulum-Ei in Solitude, and you use the name to point out his relationship with Goldenglow Estate. Maybe I just overlooked it, but I'm VERY sure that this first note said "Gulum-Ei" and not "Gajul-Lei" - you're more than welcome to fact check.

You know, about your Solstheim one about the nords, I think more is mentioned in Oblivion by Neville the Redguard from the Mystery Murder quest on the Dark Brotherhood. And it’s also mentioned by Nels the Naughty during the same quest, hinting the local Nords and Imperials themselves are at War. We also see that Neville and Nels are both very hostile towards one another for that reason as well. I recently played through Oblivion again and caught that detail, so it may be an oversight on Bethesda’s part of who was involved in that war. Edit: Oh you do mention the difference between the Nords and Skaal, lol I hadn’t seen that yet. However it’s still a notable dialogue I brought up, as Nels and Neville were both in Solstheim during the fighting and getting PTSD from the other, Nels having watched his Dark Elf daughter die by vagabonds despite an Imperial fort being close by, and Neville having fought Nord locals who were revolting. Great video! Always happy to watch!

Regarding “Skyrim’s always involved in some border dispute,” it still makes sense if it’s the Skaal Nords. It would just mean that the dispute is between Skyrim and the Skaal, since Solstheim is part of Skyrim

Don't forget that in Morrowind, you have to levitate to get into Telvanni Tower. It's also a reference to that. Too bad they forbid levitation in Oblivion. The fact Solstheim might be moving is driving me crazy. What if the island go near Atmora ? We would have the chance to visit Atmora shores and coast! Or maybe to the East, it would make journeys to Akavir easier! Or disappear like the other continents? It would be insane

Solstheim is the last of Ehl'lohim (enormous creatures that predate any other race in Mundus) - and it's movin'! Over the years it (as is the case with the current Mer) lost most of its divinity and sapience and is now nothing more than a humongous magical beast. Miraak's scuffle with the dragons had awakened it from slumbering and it started to move, step by step. That also will explain the "imprisoned god" lore, because Ehl'lohim were divine and were still living when Mer first come to be. So, one Mer (a humanoid god) battled an Ehl'lohim (a beastly god) and then imprisoned or put it to sleep off the shores of Eastmarch where it was hibernating and slowly degrading over the centuries. Time passed and what that Mer had said to his compatriots got slowly turned into a legend vaguely resembling what actually had happened.

It’s possible (probable) that the world of the Elder Scrolls has tectonic plates. (They also have volcanos, showing that they have a molten mantle, even more evidence of tectonic plates, and the location of Red Mountain shows that a major break in the plates is nearby.) Tectonic plates are almost required for a planet to hold life as moving metals in the core of the planet create a protective magnetic barrier from radioactive waves from a nearby sun. An end result of that is that the surface gets moved, cracked, broken, and tectonic plates form. As those plates move, continents, islands, and oceans move with them. If Solstheim is on a different plate than the rest of the continent, that would easily explain it moving over thousands and thousands of years.

I will always miss levitation in later ES games. Just walking across the map in the air in Morrowind was so much easier than finding my way on the ground or "taking the bus"
@emlynselene10965 жыл бұрын
Ok, it's been a bit since I played morrowind, but I'm fairly sure for the patchwork airship quest, you're supposed to find the captains journal, and then solve a riddle, and find an amulet that makes the mage persuasive, but also get a rash or something.
@sarahjimeilofgren5 жыл бұрын
For the map part of Solstheim, there's another possibility that could explain why it's in a different place. I was thinking that perhaps cartography has changed since ESO and the mapmaking wasn't as accurate as it is in Skyrim.

Nate during the events of Skyrim, Solstheim is a part of the Empire. Since Morrowind is apart of the Empire and Solstheim is a part of Morrowind that makes Solstheim a part of the Empire. During the events of Skyrim the Empire consists of 4 provinces Cyrodil, High Rock, Skyrim and Morrowind. This is a map Tamriel as of the events of Skyrim www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=i.stack.imgur.com/fcvoJ.png&imgrefurl=gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/77050/what-is-the-political-status-of-each-of-the-tamriel-provinces&h=685&w=900&tbnid=0_JuxPhDhebBkM&tbnh=196&tbnw=257&usg=AI4_-kQdCUeJUOXqt40J_EmQLpa12ek7mQ&vet=1&docid=7UTH5sCsN03cQM

Severin Manor is the only home in the game of Skyrim, that the player can get free of charge, due to gratitude; without strings being attached. The Dragonborn unselfishly saved the life of Councilor Morvayn; and he was so very appreciative of that show of kindness and heroic deed; that he gives the Dragonborn the manor as a gift. As Councilor Morvayn tells the Dragonborn: What you've done for me... for all of Raven Rock... goes far beyond what I would have expected from a traveler to our town. For this, you have my deepest gratitude. I feel I owe you my life for thwarting the House Hlaalu plot to have me assassinated. My deepest thanks. I'm certain Adril was prepared to reward you appropriately for everything you've done. However, since a bit of coin hardly seems like enough... I've decided to provide something more substantial. Since the Severin family... or whoever they were... turned out to be criminals, their property is now forfeit. As Councilor, I hereby award you Severin Manor and everything contained within. You've earned your citizenship here, and I hope you'll consider staying with us as a member of our community. Your contributions have earned you citizenship here, friend. I'll always consider you one of us. The Nords claim to uphold honor above all else, unless it deals with real estate Every Jarl in Skyrim: You just saved my hold, I'm so grateful! By my right as Jarl, I give you permission to purchase a home. Wow thanks……. What a bunch of cheap selfish bastards! It seems those Dunmers could teach the Nords a thing or two about respect and honor.
