To fix the issue on steam go to your game page and click the settings cog on the top right then go to there’s a button that says verify game files click that and wait for it to verify then when you load back in it should ask you if u wanna download the content click download and make sure you go to the creations page and click options and enable all content lmk if this helped

Ok I’m confused as all hell like I own Skyrim special edition and my friend who I’m game sharing with bought the anniversary edition and I installed it and all the things show up in the installed content tab but in game there not appearing even after I did what the video said to do

I know, this issue is ridiculous...clearly Bethesda has not changed their ways :(. I'm really sorry this didn't help, I know it's incredibly maddening... The only other thing I can think of is do a hard reset of the game, meaning uninstall all game and mods, and delete all save files both in the hard drive and any synced cloud save files. Reinstall the special edition first, then reinstall the anniversary content. If it doesn't work right away, try this tutorial again. This should be a last resort though as it still may not resolve the issue. Quite the gamble if you're I to the game a ways... Best of luck 🙏🙏🙏

i have the exact same issue, it in my installed contact but not showing in game. i own skyrim through game pass and bought the upgrade, from the sound of things bethesda want us to buy their game and the dlc outright for it to work, sadly the fix in this video didnt work for me. i dont want to have to buy skyrim outright just to see if it works but at this stage what other option do i have

So maybe anyone else has done this before which might mess it up when you first install the game. I got it installed and when I open it. it was installing the anniversary edition content but my external hard drive got unplugged during the process but when I went into game to check it said it was all downloaded but it wasn’t and I found sometimes npcs were glitching.But the funny thing is the armor were working just not the other content so I hope this work if not I broke my game 😅

I have the anniversary edition and downloaded all the creation club content from a reedem code. But had a problem where i had to delete the game and all synced and saved data after reinstall and everything all my creation club content is gone haven't been able to fix this going on a year. I'm playing on xbox sieres x.

if im reading this right, you had the anniversary edition and you also downloaded creation content in addition to the anniversary edition? if that was the case, there are known conflicts with anniversary and other creations club content but im not sure why reinstalling the game would have killed it. having never had this happen personally, i cant speak intelligent on this one other than possibly the conflict. if youre running any additional mods or content, my first thought would be disable, then delete anything extra. save game before and after doing this so you have both save points. if anniversary still wont run, try the steps here in the video again. if still no, im really at a loss and very sorry i couldnt help.

On Xbox One, is the upgrade given only with a code insert? I just installed the A.V. from a disc I borrowed from the library. I was hoping it would all be on the disc (would make the most sense since the disc itself says A.V.). I tried downloading all Creation Club content and it only gives me what I downloaded free years ago, not all the content as it should. The Microsoft store doesn't say I own it either. When the disc installed, it said Special Edition.... wtf...

You aren't the only person having this issue, I really hope someone who knows a fix posts asap... Having not had this issue myself, I would try uninstalling Skyrim and all the expansions then reinstall Skyrim SE first, then the AE content package. If that doesn't work, I would try downloading a random mod just to see if it triggers that to show up. If it does, go ahead and run this fix for the AE content. Once that finishes, go ahead and delete the random mod. Please let me know if any of this works so we can let others know :). Thank you for posting!

Hmmm if it were me I would try reinstalling Skyrim SE, then reinstall the anniversary download, then try running this tutorial again. If that doesn't fix it I'm sorry I couldn't help.

Mine don't show up in load order either, so I'm assuming you are good to go! You'll know pretty early game if the courier finds you with a whole bunch of reading material those are all anniversary edition :). He usually gets me on the way to whiterun

The only way I know to fix this is uninstall the game and delete all mods. Reinstall Skyrim SE and then immediately install the AE content and follow this tutorial again. This doesn't always fix it though...hope it helps

I need serious help. The game just crashes. It keeps telling me sky UI is not functioning on some of the mods. It is also telling me achievements are disabled. Any and all help is appreciated.

thanks for asking, and sorry to hear youre having issues beyond this fix. first off, it is normal for achievements to be disabled whenever running mods. the other error your getting tells me there is a conflict between the anniversary edition content and another mods you have running, or may have been running in the past. i would try disabling all mods in your load order first and see if that helps. if not, you may have to completely delete/uninstall all mods and only install the anniversary content. if you dont have any mods installed, but you had mods installed in the past on that same device, its possible theres something residual causing the issue. as a last resort you may have to delete/uninstall everything. the game, save files, add ons, etc (dont forget synced cloud saves, xbox network for example) and start a new game. thats the worst case scenario, and i would only resort to that if i tried everything else because that still may not fix it. there may be other fixes for your specific issue elsewhere, try a google search as there are some websites outside of youtube that offer different things you can try. hope that helps

@@tamperedcat99 ok try looking for Guard's Bounty Letter Draft, in fact I would try reading everything in the barracks. Exit, then reenter the barracks and take one more look. This is a well known bugged quest sadly, and I haven't personally experienced it so haven't had a chance to try and fix it. Sorry I could be more help, hope you can get it sorted.

Hmmm sorry that didn't fix it... I do have a couple thoughts that may help tho. One, are you set up with a Bethesda account and is that logged in on the same device? Also I had a weird issue with an error saying I wasn't logged into bethesda, had to completely uninstall the game and delete save game data. Once I reinstalled and synced my save data from Xbox network, it was fine. Sorry in advance if that doesn't help, I know that can be frustrating as hell :(
