it might sound stupid, but I've found that simply walking on the spot from time to time and swinging my arms massively reduces the motion sickness I get when my character is moving forwards. I've also found that during melee combat I don't get motion sickness cause my brain is too focussed on the combat

I used to have really bad motion sickness but I really wanted to play Skyrim VR. So now I use a fan blowing straight at me from what consider the front of the play space, a center carpet piece to help me know where the center of the room is, natural locomotion app, and ginger chews. All this combined has basically eliminated motion sickness for me.

After doing this one thing I can now max out my resolution in VR and my 3080 handles everything with ease. I changed my windows 10 sound setting to 16bit 48000hz, DVD quality. That's it and worked a dream. I have 450 mainly next gen graphics mods installed.

If you don't get motion sick, if you have a high end pc, if you have the patience to mod Skyrim, then Skyrim VR might be the best game you'll ever play.

6:48 This is an important one *VrVision* or the other mod which VrVision's author suggested which is *Glamur Reshade VR* do make the game clearer with TAA enabled without the horrable shimmer that comes from disabling TAA. Eye strain is a great issue from Skyrim TAA, so it's a good idea for you fix that as much as you can. however based on my experience it cost the system about half to one ms of frame time. Which is not much and if you had to choose beteen this or a visual mod, choose the sharpening mod.

@@cancerperez you download any one of them from their Nexus page. Then install whichever you chose manually, easily by moving the mod content to your Skyrim VR game folder. Then in game you can press HOME button to enable, disable, tweak, or choose any of the other options/presets the mod author provided.

I reduced the movement speed and added a little FOV reduction while moving and it helps with motion sickness. I think it's the sudden stops that make the most motion sickness for me. There should be some sort of small acceleration while stopping.

Hmm, never tried personally but it may be possible 🤔🤔 lol If you genuinely can’t get your IPD try some sites or apps to get a general ball park. The Average IPD is around 57-60

I was using that CAS + ENB mod and liking the clarity a lot when I found this video that shows how to use a CAS mod from FO4VR and you don't need the ENB. This was great for me because even though I had tried a number of ENB profiles I really didn't like any of them ("Luminous" was the closest). I loved what some of them did to the lighting in certain situations but in general it was too dark inside buildings and the dungeons became basically unplayable. To me it's not fun to need a torch or light spell 100% of the time - it's just a needless pain in the ass. I played around with the ambient light settings, but no. Well I played last night and I thought the game was to bright for VR. I love travelling on the road with a torch and then hear the asthma of the wolves near you. I had some really good surprises and jumpscare. Thing that would never happen on PC even with the darkest interiors

I have this problem. I'm playing with a radeon 580 8G, and play Skyrim like. Laggy/very blurry and i did everything to fix it. Like sidequest and all changes. And still. I think its my wifi of airlink cause i haven't tried with cable yet. I don't know if that's not gonna help i don't know anymore. Do i need like a new graphic card like sort of 3080? Anyone help? :(

Check if your wifi 5GHz band and wifi 6. I have tried airlink with 2.4GHz and its terrible.

too bad all these are fog removal, makes color less vivid and washed out. i dont like it, i love bloom, mist mods.. and cool weather effects.. killed my fps but no issue when u turned on steam motion smoother

Lol I was about to say a fan, you right about the fan, I actually use 2 sometimes in the summer. I get very motion sick I'm on boats alot and vr is just as bad as being on a tug boat in a storm lol, I also take half a dramamine if I'm doing something like driving in vr
