If you think about it, after the knowledge we gain from The journey and the diary of lucien, the biggest victim of fable 2 was him all along. He was broken inside and only wants his family back... and theresa used that to manipulate him into building the spire but that also leads him to madness. When he was one step to realize his wish, you strip him of all his powers. Thats is when lucien shows his true face... the face of a father and husband that lost everything... The face of an old man that, in his insanity, thought to have find a way to prevents others to feel his same pain. A man frustrated with the hero because he dosen't seem to understand that, what is trying to do is to save everyone (or at least thats is what he believes....). Then reaver/the hero shoots him and he is no more...

@@JabamiLain no, you can't. Most part of the game you don' t even encounter him, with the exception of the final part and in the beginning, when you are still a child. That's is what makes him a great villain. You only see him from afar and think that he is a powerful enemy when, instead, he is only and old man without powers, that only wants his family back

Going through a Fable trip after years and years of not playing it. F2 was my first and most beloved Fable game. And absolutely was enthralled with the Spire. Being in there and becoming used to the drumming of power coursing through its super structure. I was like, so after we when the day and kill Lucien. I'm keeping his stuff, right? ie the Spire. But then Theresa kicked us out like a wet stray. Bloody plot stopping me from having a kick ass evil looking tower lol

The Spire Shattered once more when Theresa made her wish. Gabriel was not of Theresa's bloodline & thus shouldn't have inherited her powers. Unless that was part of Theresa's wish, which was never determined. It was "a hole in the plot" that went Awry. Gabriel was just a Dweller. Granted Theresa herself spent time amongst a tribe of Dwellers as well, nonetheless we all know Theresa's bloodline was linked to The Archon & Nostros of the Old Kingdom pre Albion. Though Theresa came into Albion as a child of Scarlet Robe in Oakvale of the 1st instalment of Fable. Gabriel's role didn't do the bloodline justice as he wasn't part of the bloodline. Just a coincidence of convenience. Within the Fable;Journey story. The boy had neither Skill, nor Will, nor Strength. The gauntlet he wore held his power, borrowed from Theresa. It wasn't of his own from within him.

I eagerly am hopeful that Playground Studios 1st Fable instalment is Fable: Old Kingdom. I want more involved with what Lionhead's Fable 1-3 only hinted at about Old Kingdom before Albion came to be. I would assume The Archon & Nostros would be pivotal characters or similar characters of identical roles. The birth of the Spire's 1st original construction in the new Playground studios origin of the revamped Fable would seem very fitting. Just as the creation of "The Hero Bloodline" from The Archon being the main protagonist playable Hero would seem logical. As a note on The mortality of Theresa, it was a huge upset. Theresa's role in Fable was crucial, vital, necessary & pivotal. Theresa carried the entire series and justly so. I've always felt a kinship of sorts because there's parts of Theresa that resembled a combination of my Grandma & Mother, both combined. Just as Rose reminds me of a more innocent version of a half sister i once had. Twinblade was similar to an old friend and I myself find some aspects of Reaver in my own personal darker nature of part of my adult past. Oddly enough i didn't start playing Fable games until 2015. Years after the real life counterparts within my past had their chapters end. So Fable games have become sort of a fictional fantasy fairytale version of a life that could've been with people i knew from my past. I would even be honored to write in contribution to continuing the Fable stories, myself, personally. Nonetheless, i reiterate that your takes on the Fable stories are always a warm welcome.

I also want Fable 2 and 3 to have anniversary versions with all DLC Included. as Fable 2 is not on PC and Fable 3 is a Vista port with increasing rarity of accessibility on PC.

U probably figured it out by now but it was: fable the journey. It was the last installment b4 lionhead disbanded. It didn't really do so well cuz it was the era of xbox kinect; it wasn't too good of a playing style for a game like fable... :/ among other things. So for a long time everyone either forgot about it, or treated it as if it didn't exist.
