I'm a season pass holder at Cedar Point and been to a bunch of other theme parks with big coasters like El Toro and King da Ka and Fury 305, but still nothing has the crazy ass negative g forces you get on Skyrush. The ejector air can be so strong you really feel like you are gonna fly out of the ride. It feels like you are lifted out of your seat the entire time and the only thing.. the ONLY THING holding you in is that lap restraint that grips on sometimes way to tight to your thighs. This is the only ride that can really scare the shit outta me lol. Excellent ride but wicked as hell. Wish this and El Toro had another copy at Cedar Point.

Just got back from Hershey and your description is spot on. I had a love/hate relationship with this coasted after riding it a couple times and it wasn't until the 4th go that I really fell in love with it. Everyone complains about the lap bar restraint and says to replace it with a shoulder harness, but those people aren't understanding the purpose of Skyrush and its devilish agenda to buck you out of your seat like a raging bull. It may not be the fastest or tallest in the world, but a truly terrifying beast that uses positive G's like no other.

This is my SECOND EVER rollercoaster I've ridden and let me tell you. This ride is legit no joke. The video may show that it's not that fast but I am serious this thing is *really* fast (especially that first drop). Once you go down the first drop, you can barely let out your emotions until the ride slows down. It's a hell of an experience I tell you; for you mentally and for your spine lol.

I honestly thought my thighs were going to snap in half during the ride. I was fine going up the cable life. But the restraints don't lock in place. They are locked from going up but if they can go down. Once I hit the bottom of the big drop the lap bar just sunk deep into my thighs. By the end of the ride I was in tears. I'm sure she coaster was great but once I hit the bottom of the first hill and felt the pain my body went into survival mode. Lol. The restraints keep locking the farther they get pushed down. It's literally the dumbest design I have ever heard of. I just wanted to be off the ride at that exact moment. Imo the coaster track design layout is amazing but the restraints ruin it big time.

I have been terrified of coasters for 25 years. I first started trying to overcome that fear 2 years ago going on many various coasters and working my way up to the true beasts. Just went on this ride yesterday. In my opinion, one of the most terrifying rides out there, especially if you sit on the end seat with no floor under you. The only point of contact you have in the leg bar, other than that your body is free to flail and move as if you are about to get thrown off the ride. Ok look... People complain about skyrush having “bad restraints” but I completely disagree.. They complain about it crushing your thighs or calling it “ thighcrush” but it’s definitely not because of the restraints. The reason why it crushes your thighs is because all of the positive g forces slamming down on your body, causing the restraints to staple your whole lower body. This is true because rollercoasters like Hyperion and flying aces have the exact same restraints as skyrush, and are nowhere near as intense as it, and I’ve never heard anyone complain about those rides restraints being bad. In my opinion, this makes skyrush even greater than it already is, and during the ride experience, you can’t remember a thing with the g forces slamming after air time hill after air time hill. This makes skyrush even greater than it already is, being my number 1 coaster personally, and a top 6 coaster in the world.

I have a problem with this ride. i go to Hershey every year yet I've only rode this twice. here's why: the line system is garbage and operations are terribly slow. takes 3 hours to get front row. the lap bar system is also garbage. the idea is nice, not having to have too much on u so u can enjoy the ride more, but in reality, it hurts like hell when u go up on hills and u fly around ur seat. you'll be sore for the rest of the day. I recommend riding this as the LAST ride. the ride climbs the chain too fast, at least slow it at the top for better experience!

This POV comes no where close to how intense the ride actually is. The first drop is absolutely insane, here you can’t see it but the ride already starts at a high point so it makes the drop just that much longer. I've rode this many times. The lift hill is EXTREMELY steep and fast. And there is almost no pause as you pass over the crest. The 200 foot drop is so intense, tears usually roll down my face. The air time towards the end is very nice. You will feel heavy G forces in the first few turns.

It was nighttime so I didn't know what to expect, but I did know that that first lift pulled us up so fast it caught me off guard. After riding 4 times in different positions, pick the very back on either winged chair for the roughest, most dare-devil experience. The positive G's are the strongest and will have you flying out of your seat the entire time...not to mention feeling like your being flung out of the coaster sideways. The pain I felt on this ride is inexpiable I broke my left leg on this ride and I will never go on it again. I was flailing around like a leaf in the wind. MY THIGHS HURT SO BAD I HAD RED MARKS ON WHERE THE BAR WAS. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS DEATH PARK.

went on this few weeks ago n screamed the whole time! my husband is a lover of coaster n talked me into this one. at one point u feel ur body lift out of the seat i have never been so scares in my life! great coaster but never again

+tired terezi I'm going this Friday with my school! I believe that if you like fast roller coaster DEFINITELY do this and Storm Runner! If you don't want a roller coaster but still a fun and exciting ride, The Claw is awesome! If you like loops the Super Dooper Looper is for you :D hope u have fun!!

I’m a very short and skinny person, and I sat on the right outside wing on skyrush and I knew what people said about the restraints, in the beginning of the day I got on it and I thought it wasn’t that bad but it did still hurt, I sat in the right outside wing again later that night for a last ride, and I thought ok this hurts a lot more, but when we were going down the first hill it clicked like three more times and I was literally screaming in pain t hurt so much, it’s been three days and my thighs are still in pain, my other family members said that it didn’t hurt them but I think it’s the outside wing seats, it hurt so bad I’m not exaggerating i couldn’t enjoy the ride and I had tears coming out

I rode in the same spot right wing seat!! it was horrible Ive never been flung around like that! its weird to feel like your gonna fall but the restraint is so damn tight your circulation is being cut off my poor legs were flailing all over the place lol

I literally live like 15 minutes away from hersheypark, been there dozens of times, but I’m too much of a wuss to go on Skyrush, Storm Runner, and Fahrenheit

What's people's problem with this ride? I have had knee, lower back and shoulder issues and never had one problem with this ride. Never. You would think with all the complaints of this ride, I wouldn't be able to ride this again. But no, haven't had one issue. My favorite ride.

This is a very good ride once you get used to it! I used to be super scared of it and didn't want to ride it the first few times we went there after it was put in, I eventually I did it, and I was still super scared of it and didn't want to ride again. I went there with just my friend and I felt bad letting her ride alone so I rode with her and found that it wasn't as bad the second time. I haven't rode in the overhang seats yet, and I never put my hands up until just the last time I went there. It wasn't that bad and I was proud of myself lol, maybe next time I'll sit in an overhang seat.

fastest lift hill i’ve ever been on. i had no time to prepare myself for that first hill. this was also the first roller coaster i ever blacked out on (it was on one of the airtime hills haha)

Is this ride painful when you go over the hills? Specifically on your thighs?

not really, but a little bit. at the end of the ride while you're waiting to go into the station they take the weight of the bar off your thighs with a burst of air pressure

yes. it kills your thighs. especially if you sit on the outside, last row. fun ride but so painful D:

***** honestly, i think it depends on your build. for me, the lapbar reaches my thighs before my hips/waist, so all the pressure was put onto my thighs--especially during the first drop and any twists, it pushes down even more. the back of rollercoasters generally get more whiplash and force on them, so i think it hurt more when i sat there, but i've sat in the middle and front as well, it still hurts but probably not as badly. for some people, the lapbar doesn't seem to hurt them at all.
