Awesome video! Looking forward to seeing this tech make flying safer and more accessible.

So, no direct mechanical connection to the aircraft controls? Does that mean that if the computer locks up, there is no mechanical backup system to operate the controls?

Fly by wire might be nice but what about auto rotations? No thanks...

The company has indicated that the system has demonstrated an autonomous autorotation.

"on the very worst day of their lives"... even though its profit driven and 90% of the calls could've gone by ground. Unfortunately they pay paramedics so poorly that they cant staff ambulances so the patient is forced to go by air and suffer the insane bills, especially from this company

This will lead to pilot replacement, this is great till it fails and you don’t have a pilot on board.

Im good. A good pilot is one who controls the machine. I don't want to fly with someone who has never had to do an auto-rotation or cant hover

Been flying HEMS for 11 years, not a difficult job even when doing scene calls in the mountains in 50 kts winds. I don't want or need the machine to fly itself to take work load off at anytime as I enjoy the art of flying the aircraft. The automation of everything will lead to people leaving the industry that have experience, but I'm guessing that's what this is about at the end of the day as you won't need someone to actually fly the aircraft at some point.....
