This song's lyrics have meant a lot to me after what I struggled with at the time it came out. Demi's voice was so powerful and hearfelt that I couldn't help but to break down in tears everytime I listened to it. I thought no-one would ever top it, until Alex made this. Demi's version makes me feel sad and vulnerable, but this one's smooth and motivational tone gives me the strength and willingness to stand up and keep moving on. I think that's much more of what the song is about.

I agree -- definitely the best cover of this song I've heard. Demi's is SO emotional, it really is beautiful. But I love how raw your performance of it is, Alex. And the lighting makes it seem that much more so - definitely a good pick. Not to mention just sitting down at the piano. Definitely not a song that needs a big production - I'm glad you kept it basic and focused more on actually nailing the emotion in the song, because there is a whole lot of it. Loved this.
