Man JK is clueless. He says that Brad Shields has no future in the ABs as he's played for England. I mean I don't rate Shields but what JK said is factually wrong. Shields last played for England in the 6 Nations in 2019 which means it's been 5 years, so he's actually now available for the ABs.

yes Jonah was huge, but for Goldie to say he was unstoppable...hmmm. Gregan used to bring him down. He never scored a try v the Springboks either, so obviously they stopped him. Christian Cullen to me was the biggest game changer for NZ rugby. He changed the way an outside back played and we've never seen another player like him. I do agree re: Kronfeld. Very underrated player and believe he was the 2nd best 7 NZ has ever had.

Seeing the story of young Colby brought back memories of the 8 year old me in '93 watching Waikato NPC at rugby park in Hamilton on the concrete terraces. That year Waikato traveled to Eden Park and beat Auckland for the Ranfurly Shield, the shield done its rounds around rural towns and clubs. Unfortunately, Auckland/JK won the comp that year, they beat Otago/Goldy in the final. Records tell me JK was top try scorer with 8, and Foxy was top points scorer with 135. This game is awesome the memories it can create for all ages.

This isn’t there worst ever streak. It’s there worst start ever. Back in the early days they had like a 7 or 8 game losing streak. Considering how this super rugby is set up there is a big chance they will be able to beat teams that are in form. As long as they are in form towards the end of season and finish on a 2-3 game winning streak. This isn’t just the rebels or the highlanders. This is the 7 in a row champions. So it’s easily possible.

I would still pick Reuben Love in the All Blacks.Stevenson can be pick as a wing/ fullback. Jordan and Love could be the fullbacks. Wingers : Telea,Clarke,Stevenson,Nanai-Seturo. These guys are form players.I still like Reece and Narawa. The good thing about NZ rugby is we have team call : The All Blacks XV. This team is very important for development of our players.

This show has three outside backs doing all the analysis-get some forwards on there. Whitelock coming back for a year or two is great but he wont make the next wc. Retallick will be 35/36 at the next wc so he could realistically make it if he decides he wants to. Lord was outstanding in his return and Vaai has had a great start to the season too. Selby-ricket, Hannah, Mcwhannell and ah Koi are worth investing time in aswell. Mckenzie and BB have played so much at 10/15 tgt it doesnt really matter who wears 10 as they can seamlessly mix up the responsibilities between.

I don’t have a problem with Sam Whitelock returning to NZ after his year in France having played alongside his lil brother & may not even want to stay in France for a 2nd year. I think we would all agree that Sam most probably won’t be a serious contender for RWC2027 but if Sam can be a mentor to the next generation of Locks, taking some of the pressure off Scott Barrett, then get Sam onboard in whatever role even if it is as a Mentor/Player/Coach. Also having played in the Top14 as opposed to Japan, Sam’s body would be ‘knock ready’ for Test Rugby should it be required. It wouldn’t be as easy a transition for a forward from the J League to immediately transition into Test Rugby as Brodie understandingly showed after his previous return. The only issue for me would be ‘Player Burnout’ considerations. Would the Top14 season be counted towards the number of games played & whether or not Sam would need to have a pre-defined ‘off season’ & only allowed to play ‘n’ more games in the Calendar Year.

Now he wants to bring in 153 test veteran in his twilight to take a time (even on the bench) away from the young guys (Lord, vaai) hindering their development. Not saying Whitelock isnt great but Scott has 60 test, Patrick is around 50 test. Thats plenty.

39:04 JK is absolutely spot on here, both NZR and RA need to stop looking at SR as a feeder for its national sides and need to start running the competition properly. Because with that way of thinking it has no purpose for itself, and that’s a main reason why SR has lost its gloss. And that is the biggest elephant in the room. The franchises are restricted by the control of the National Unions.

Super rugby is not international rugby. We have many very good short loose forwards in NZ. These guys don’t cut it against the French, the Irish and the South Africa. They just too small and short for international rugby. The French forwards are monsters. Their loose forwards are all over 6ft 6ins tall. The All Blacks just cannot afford have three short loose forwards. Sotutu is 6 ft 4ins and he wins a lot of line outs for the blues. This year he has been in great form. Samipeni Finau is 6 ft 5ins and he is X factor player.Dalton Papalii is big tall guy for a open side. This guy regularly tops the tackle count and he has the experience internationally. We all know Ardie Savea is our best loose forward. But isn’t the tallest guy going. This exactly why we can’t have other two loose forwards being short.

I get where Jeff Wilson is coming from. Crusaders are yet to have their best players come back, but the rugby they're playing is poor. That's a fact. When their best players come back, I still believe they'll play rubbish rugby.

Super Rugby is only slipping further from relevance this year. I admit I used to love it. I would even watch the Oz v Oz games as well during the weekend. Now ?…. I don’t even bother trying to find a stream for any of the games. Sure I’ll prob turn in for the final.. but that’s it. League is just such a better product to watch and more exciting. Plus they’re actually filling most stadiums. Sorry SR it’s just not for me anymore.

I dont prefer it myself so no its not a better game, thats purely your opinion. Its problems are with too much repetition and becomes boring to watch. You almost always know whats going to happen. Tackle tackle kick. Rugby has its faults, of which there are plenty, but at least players have more freedom in play.

Would the two SHOW PONIES (former wingers) please keep their mouths shut when others are speaking. This show has potential to be the very best rugby show but the constant ill-mannered and egoistic interruptions are just boring and must be costing viewer numbers. Also, the over-the-top reaction to Italy victories is churlish. Just because it is on Sky does not mean it has to be tasteless.

Players like Rhys Patchell and Levi Aumua are indicative of how far the standard of rugby in New Zealand has fallen.

Doubt this time Crusaders making the semis. Quarters maybe but they need to fix the line outs. Seems as the youngsters are not on the same page. But they'll be back 2025. Remember Chiefs. Lost most I think in 2020 ( 0r 2021 ? ). Now the side to beat.😊😊
