DK and Ashwin are cricket nerds. The way they break down different aspects of the game with such clarity is amazing. After listening to Sunil gavaskar, murali Karthik and Ravi shastri , this podcast is so refreshing to listen to. Would love to see more episodes with DK to talk about world cricket and not just IPL

Nah during his playing days he was a very passionate captain and wore his heart on his sleeve and was a thinking captain. Nasser had his plate full in the 4-5 years he had to captain England. He had to play the mighty Aussies where England would nearly always lose. Nasser was a fabulous batsmen his 207 at Birmingham had 38 fours. He didn’t do justice to his talent as he was burdened by captaincy and he was more of a 45 average player not a 37 average player but playing in England isn’t easy either. Nasser has mellowed down over the last decade I have followed him for the last 22 years since he came to Aus to captain the ashes in 2002. He had to wear a mask when he was a captain and now he is one of the finest analysts in cricket along with the late Shane Warne.

That is because the Englishmen gradually changed their attitude to the IPL. If course the fact that DK is their colleague also helps. I used to feel Atherton used to be anti-India 20 years back. Now he is a lot more neutral. Nass has always been very enthusiastic about Indian cricket and this is not a surprise.

This is the first time in a while where I don’t think India are top 4 favourites for an ICC tournament. Might work well. Might finally win after not being favourites. Windies, Australia, South Africa, England are better. I’ve watched the big names in the IPL for India and they don’t look too good. Yet the young guys that are doing well (Abishek) won’t get picked. Whereas in countries like England, will pick the form players.
