I’m a Liverpool fan so although like the other 91 league clubs and their supporters we’re enjoying every minute of watching the most arrogant club in English football pull their own teeth out, it’s very easy for everyone else to see what needs doing! It’s a clear out from the owners, the board and all the lazy over paid players out of club and whoever comes in as manager must have the balls and ability and have full control of the players and of all the footballing criteria, doesn’t matter how much a player costs or what you’re paying him or his commercial value, if he’s not performing or misbehaving then get him out! Take the knock/loss and move on, it will show the rest of the squad and whoever else may potentially join that squad that you’re not messing around and that you demand 100% complete commitment and respect

I think people have to remeber big clubs go through "DOWN" Years. Man Utd went on a run of 27 yr without a League title from 66 to 93 and Liverpool and Everton dominated in that absence. Then Utd won 13 titles in 20 yrs while Liverpool toook 30 to win their next title. Things look bleak for Utd now, but eventually they'll be back to their level. For a long time, it seemed like Liverpool would never be back but they are back now. A huge club bounces back eventually.

Each time they've sacked one of these lemons they've had to give them pay offs akin to transfer fees - Mourinho walked away with about 25m. They'll have a new manager in the summer whilst also keeping that clueless gonk Rangnick, so that's two big salaries on a management team that still won't have the intelligence to drop maguire. They'll be paying out more in these salaries than what city pay Pep. Laughable.

A big issue is, and I think a lot of people have overseen this, is there aren't any managers close to Klopp and Pep.. The next best would be tuchel, and then there are a few others.. But there aren't the managers that can compete in England.. They'd all be competing for top four, like tuchel.. not the title.

The difference is astronomical, even without the trophies city have a culture and style of play. Man United are 38 completely different side's, one game is one style and totally different the next. If man united want to rebuild they have to get out of the mindset of instant success, let somebody reshape the culture of the club and give them a lasting identity because getting a world class manager to win 1 league title is completely different than challenging for the next 10 years.

Yes, and one of the things that did for us was bringing in a manager, when we'd previously promoted from within. Utd should have learned THAT lesson, before Fergie retired and had someone on the coaching staff ready to take over. In case anyone missed it, that's how Guardiola got the Barcelona job, and how Zidane got the Madrid job. I'm afraid, it looks like FSG haven't learned that lesson, either, and when Klopp leaves in two years, we'll have Gerrard come along and 'do a Souness'.

I've said it before, but give Roy Keane the United job for a season and see how it goes. If it goes well, then extend his contract to maybe a 2 years. Look, he's a United legend and former captain. The problem for United lies with ownership. Not enough people acknowledge how important FSG has been at liverpool in 1. Getting klopp 2. Placing Michael edwards as technical director 3. Man United need an massive appointment. Arteta has done an excellent job of re establishing Arsenals core values, reuniting the fans and bringing the dressing room together. Chris Wilder would nail it at Man U, Maguire as the centre back with AWB and Shaw overlapping around Telles and a new RWB, I think they could do with 2 new CMs then play Bruno behind Ronaldo and Rashford, Sancho could be a casualty unless he could retrain as a striker. What should really be scaring them is that this is now eroding their commercial status. As of this year, they are no longer England's richest club, City are, albeit with the caveats we all know. Liverpool may have overtaken them too, or be about to. I never thought that would happen, but such has been the damage done to the club in the last 8 years. Amazing mismanagement. Given the obvious need for major work on the stadium and squad, it could be a very long way back for them.
