Comparing similar players of age and skill; I can’t say Garnacho is better than Brennan Johnson, Cunha, Kudus and Pedro Neto all of whom were recently transferred for less than €60m. Garnacho isn’t English and doesn’t have that silly English inflation rate added to his value. So £40m would be upper asking price I reckon, this is a player who has 4 G/A this season, 11 G/A in 36 games last season and 5 G/A the season before.

I'm just saying that if you give an example to indicate market value, don't use someone that went for a fixed price in his contract. Your current examples are far better indications, though of course they were all 2-4 years older than Garnacho and presumed to be closer to their potential ceiling at the time of their transfers. Regarding Garnacho, he's been at Utd long enough and at a young enough age to count as a home grown player, so he might just have that silly English inflation rate added to his value as well.

Rashford was a good young player that on his day can be a really effective player. But if we're brutally honest he's no longer a young player and he's only ever had one realy strong consistent season in his 20s. He's in his prime years now and still blows hot and cold, seems to have issues with professionalism at a club the size of Utd with the pressure that comes with it. All of this whilst on well over £300k per week is absolutely insane. It's high time Utd parted ways with him and he moves on himself.

Regarding Garnacho, he's a surplus requirement in Amorim system. Wide Striker has no place in current United system. Amorim try to convert him to Attacking Midfielder, but clearly he's not comfort to play in the middle and in passing play style. Didn't mean Garnacho is worthless, it just no place for him. This include the fullback too. Players that can't adapt into Wing Back or Center Back, surplus requirment.
