My comment was mainly aimed towards the more aggressive anti-Wenger fans that were around at that time. I think he deserved much better treatment from them. There was a time when I absolutely despised Wenger/Arsenal, but also had immense respect for them. No team before or since have inspired nervousness in me so strong that my hands would often shake before kickoff. But even with all that, I was extremely frustrated with how some fans spoke about him. Like you said, your owners obviously aren't the best. It often seems like they aren't all that bothered about the team, but I feel Wenger did the best he could do with what was available.

None of you know the situation of the club, We are missing 6 BIG CRUCIAL players in our team and everyone expects us to win, pep guardiola was without de bruyne and stones and lost to spurs and even then they still had ake and grealish to come in, We are missing a whole spine in our team, when we had a fully fit team we were the 3rd best in the league from boxing day to the end of the season which was down to Arteta and the fully fit team he actually had to work with, he also improved our defense massively and now he's had a good window, whether its bringing in great young talents in midfield, A great partner for gabriel in defense or a good back up player injury prone tierney and we aren't even done. We are getting closer and closer to getting rid of deadwood and we are slowly improving, there are 36 games left in the league and we are being judged off the first two in which we were missing most of our team, which are all very important players for us. We were also 2 wins away from equalling chelsea's points last season and its pretty easy to find 2 games we would have won if it wasn't for individual mistakes from players, like multiple red cards and penalties given away in the wolves game or own goals and red cards against Burnley. We are heavily mis-judged at the moment and Arteta is being unfairly treated due to the circumstances. But no one knows that because you don't see what's going on.

I'm on the fence about these 'great' players from the bundesliga, sancho scored many goals over there but many before him also have: Werner 36 goals in a season, mkyitartan player of the year, xhaxa, jovic even maybe ballack, there's been so many that have failed to replicate the form they had in Germany. They've all looked fantastic over there but are no where near the levels once they leave that league so I'll find it interesting to see how well Sancho does this season.

You mean Minamino? If so, he was from the Austrian Bundelisga at RB Salzburg, not the German one. But I won't disagree with you on Bundesliga players coming to the EPL. Only Aubamayeng so far has lived up to his stats, although he has significantly dropped off in the last year or so. Everybody else who has come that have had brilliant stats in the Bundesliga, have underperformed or just been OK. I don't think Sancho will be half the player people think he is in. the EPL. The leagues are just far too different.

@@CameronJungle Both brilliant players, De Bruyne was always destined to be a top player though. Even at his early years at Genk he looked fantastic. I'm not saying if you're from the German league you're not a good player, I just think the style of play etc is completely different to over here so the impact they had over there may be vastly different. He may prove me completely wrong but I have a feeling he'll just be a good player, rather than a great.

@@rg8179 honestly, I’d understand if you said Chelsea or City.. what is depth to you regarding Man United🥴 ... United have more options in attack, that part is true (although there is still variables in quality)- but if you’re looking at other areas of the pitch the quality and balance is totally inconsistent. The gap isn’t what many imagine it to be McTominay, Fred, Matic, Mata- none of those players would enhance Liverpool’s midfield options. Keïta, who’s really a squad player + may have struggled with injuries, but he’s a better player than all of those mentioned. Liverpool also have a specialised DM in Fabinho, one of the best in Europe.. miles ahead in quality from Matic. Liverpool have Van Dijk, Matip, Konaté and Gomez as centre defensive options and United have Maguire, Varane- and then a significant drop in quality as Lindelof is third option (hence all United fans were crying out for a new CB). I’m honestly baffled that United fans think they’re invulnerable to injuries and bad form. Any significant injury to Maguire, Varane, Fernandes or Pogba would be a significant blow IMO. Genuinely saw how poor they performed when it was only Maguire out injured; the whole team looked shot and we’re terrible when they played against a Liverpool team that was missing Henderson and 3 of the best senior CBs were out for the season

I keep on hearing "VVD is back, that will make a high difference", and while true is underplaying just what happened at LFC last season. VVD, Matip and Gomez missed at least half the season (VVD and Gomez were closer to three quarters of it) and Liverpool were top in the New year and finished 3rd. For comparison this would be like United losing not only Bruno, but Pogba and another midfielder for the majority of the season. No team can handle those losses in one area of the pitch and expect to win the league, in fact imagine were United would finish this season of it were to happen to them. Write them off at your peril, it's a serious team with good depth.
