I think I picked up in the post match presser that Eddie said that several players had fatigue issues, hence they needed to bunker in and save their legs. @georgemorley102921 күн бұрын
I did. Fans who go to the game are also the “online brigade”. I love how the team is playing but I don’t let hero worship cloud my judgement. We were playing badly and it took a rocket after Brentford and a change in approach from him, Longstaff out, Tonali in, Murphy up the right, a keeper in who can distribute, to bring our form back. He’s changed approach, which we wanted and I’m glad, but when we were shit it looked like he wasn’t the man. Nobody who lost patience with Howe has anything to apologise for. We were bad.

@gruffy496719 күн бұрын
Disaster? He’s had one save a game to make in the last seven matches. I still remember him costing us European last year, how the defence were petrified with him in goal, and at Arsenal saw his very shaky work in corners and free kicks. He also cost us two corners with his poor communication.
@DaleRichardson-w5j19 күн бұрын

@gruffy496719 күн бұрын
@ Then you are completely deluded. He is not a patch on Pope and it’s not even close. If you watch more than the highlights you will see the big difference is that Tonali is breaking up more plays, reducing the reliance on the defence. One save per match and you think he’s super? What about the panicking for corners at Arsenal?
@DaleRichardson-w5j19 күн бұрын
@gruffy4967 I don't just watch the highlights I watch live game's and pope is a liability under pressure on the ball and doesn't control he's penalty area so how about I have my opinion and I will state it if you like it or not okay

Drove back through the night and flagging at work but worth it for that. I hope Mitchell and Howe can see eye to eye. It’s a worry how things seem to be between them. My take on it is that Mitchell is obviously good at what he does, he’s well respected, but he always comes across as a bit dim and has zero managerial qualities. He should never be allowed in front of a camera again. He is (sort of), Howe’s line manager so he needs to learn how to manage and communicate or the club need to get an intermediary between them. Thanks for the video Keith. HWTL.
