Tottenham captain Heung-min Son says he hasn't spoken to the club about his future but he is "focused" on this season and wants to win trophies.
Son's contract expires at the end of the season but the club have an option to extend by a further year.

I dont think money is the key factor here, though. Because no matter how much money they get, they can't just upgrade their bodies to be injury resistant. It litterally is impossible for the human body to recover from such intensive and demanding games quickly enough to be ready for the next game. They have to have 4-5 days to be physically and mentally sharp enough to put in the world classperformances people want to see. But they get 3 days, sometimes 2.

1. They are paid millions to do it. Money that is unreachable to 99% of eartch's population. 2. Why don't just let academy / 3rd choice ballers to play in less important competitions like EFL, FA cup, Europa & conference leagues - whatever the club's priority is. If you play football at full intensity for just 30 minutes, you'll realize that professional players are human too, and how absurd this schedule really is. Earning a lot of money doesn’t mean they should be pushed to the brink of injury and exhaustion. At this point, it's exploitation for profit. Imagine a highly-paid doctor-just because they earn a lot of money, does that mean they should be forced to stay up all night in the emergency room, treating patients in a daze due to exhaustion? Of course not. They need to take care of their own health, get proper rest, and be in the right condition to treat each patient with care, making accurate decisions and providing proper treatment. The same principle should apply to athletes.

I think it sometimes is the responsibility of the club like for Tottenham for example they played the almost full strength squad in Europa league and sometimes even for the league cup . If you wanna protect the players, focus on the best competitions which are the Premier League and ECL, and for Europa league give opportunities to players who don’t start regularly so that players don’t have to play more than say 50 games per season

Stop complaining and ask your managers to give you a rest and rotate often. Football Players are getting paid heavily (average 50,000 per week), what we work for in 2-3 years, I understand they are human and they need their rest but if they are humans and not robots, then they have brains to decline playing more games than they should and ask to be rotated. If you keep playing whenever your manager asks you to, and you know your body is tired, then it's your own fault. Players should just ask for more rotations and also tell the UEFA & FIFA to stop adding different competitions.

Players pushing player-friendly agenda is nothing new and perhaps expected. Whilst it is true that players are undertaking more games than ever, players are being compensated and medically taken care of better than ever as well. There are thousands of occupation scattered across myriad of fields that could make a similar argument for lesser workload but do not have the luxury of having the platform or clout as professional athletes do.

Dummy, each team has main starting 11 and other players are there to support. You cannot have 2 full squads that would be perfect, if that happens you have to pay a lot to all of them it’s not sustainable at all. If you play with 2nd squad or bring academies you won’t be able to win against tough teams. This means that achievements like trebles or quadruples would never ever happen.

More games lead to more injuries, that is objectively true, you have no idea of the physical demands of a premier league game. The money while a lot doesn’t mean anything in this case. It doesn’t make a difference when players are tearing their ACLs, and breaking their ankles, that not something any of us want to see. And if you don’t really love football.

I'm sure anyone can play 7 games a week for 10k a week with their group of mates or any 11 aside amateur match but that is not comparable to the pressure, tempo and physical intensity required in top-flight football. There's a reason a team needs squad depth and a roster of at least 20+ players to maintain that level. In Vardy's case, he'll do it for free, he's an exception
