There is a problem! If Lampard, Gerrard & Rooney can get jobs like Chelsea, Rangers and Birmingham without much experience, then what’s stopping Black coaches from getting top coaching jobs.

Ok Barnsy, but Klopp before Liverpool waited for him, he had a history at Dortmund like winning 2 Bundesliga titels, leading them in CL Final and basically inventing a new playing style called Gegenpressing. How many white British managers are there currently in the Premier League ?
@kiriakoz
@kiriakoz 2 күн бұрын
Too many and they're all rubbish. No white English manager has EVER won the Premier League and yet they get chance after chance after chance.

But the statical fact Black coaches achieve promotion at a far higher percentage than White British coaches, yet they still get less opportunities, despite the fact 50% of the players in the elite league with elite coaches are black.
@MarcoSteiner-n5j
@MarcoSteiner-n5j Күн бұрын
@@Delboy0 I never understand that argument with a certain % of players is black therefore it should be the same % for coaches and everything else. So if 100% of the players were black your logic would be it should be 100% of the coaches black and owners and Bus drivers and so on. Look, Premier League clubs recruit the best players and the best coaches they can get from across the world. Thats also the reason that currently only 5 of 20 coaches in the Premier League are even British doesn´t matter the color. Most of the recruitment these days is Data driven anyway for players and for coaches. That´s how Brighton ended up with De Zerbi and then Hurzeler. You think they care what skin color they have ?
@Delboy0
@Delboy0 Күн бұрын
@@MarcoSteiner-n5j Don’t play dumb and simplify the argument to justify the exclusion of black coaches. 98% of all managers and coaches are former players. This is very specific sub group of people that most coaches are from that has a high number of black people within this grouping, due to black people having a higher ratio of talent to be professional players than the white population of the UK, meaning the top league of England is 50% black players. Yet despite this, black managers and coaches make up less than 0.05% of Managers and coaching staff across the 7 divisions in England. For numbers of former black players to be so high and the them in coaching positions so low, shows clear discrimination in football in England. You mention statistics, well close to 40% of all black coaches have either achieved promotion, reached a final or won a trophy. That is is only at 2% for English white coaches, so if clubs looks at stats when recruiting they should hire more Black coaches because they have a higher chance of success, but they still don’t. And you mention De Zerbi who was a player in the top league of Italy and this elite level experience as a player gave him the ability to be a top manager. So if you have 50% of elite top league players in England being black and they are being ignored for coaching jobs because of their colour, you are actually making British coaching subpar due to racism. England most successful national team outside of the 1966 team, had 3 black coaching staff. The U21 team who won the euros had Ashley Cole and Lescott as assistant coaches. The West Ham team that won the conference league had a black assistant coach. I think feel English hierarchy still have outdated colonial influence views about black people so discriminate against them because they are not white.

@@MarcoSteiner-n5j ". Most of the recruitment these days is Data driven anyway for players and for coaches." without opportunity how are you able to get this data, the problem lies within opportunity plain and simple, as M. Antonio put at the end of this video, "without opportunity, how are you expected to be seen".

The fact is Black coaches have a higher rate of promotion than white English coaches in English football, it just British people especially in football have very outdated stereotypical views of Black people because of colonialism and slavery of the British Empire, even in a country where black kids outperform white kids in education but many white people in England cling to 400 year old lie that black people are lesser people for their own self-esteem and this leads to discrimination and exclusion in football and most areas in British society.

@@B.landon Jimmy Saville thought it was okay to sexually assault minors, does he speak for all British white people? I’m not sure an old Black multimillionaire who lives a very privileged life is the best person to speak about racism. Not speaking about racism is part of the problem, because British white people are not comfortable with confronting any racism or discrimination issues because they never have to learn about all the terrible things British people did to black people during. In America, Germany and South Africa people have to learn about their racist history and this allows to understand more about black issues. Thanks to Boris Johnson it is now illegal to learn about British Black and colonial history in UK schools.

That's a misapplication of what Morgan Freeman was saying and I think that's pretty clear. It was never inferred that we should turn a blind eye and be silent when we see prejudice. If you believe things will fix themselves without drawing attention to it then you're naive.
