Despite the title, the Sky logo is also pertinent: the best sidesteps in HISTORY from games shown on Sky. That means no 6N, no Autumn internationals, no Phil Bennett for the '73 BaaBaas. Still, some good ones here, and (for me) worth it for that second Shane Williams one where he enlists half of the South Africa defence to get in the way of the other half.

Did you watch a different video to me? There were only 5 side steps by England in this 10 minute video. Not that many. They showed far more by NZ, SA, Wales and Ireland than they did from England. As Truth Before Opinions said, you clearly seem to not know the difference between the UK and England. Seems like you're including the whole of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland under England.

One tip. Never, ever mistake a Welshman for an Englishman. The Welsh are the original celtic inhabitants of Southern Britain. The two were fighting non stop from when the Romans left to 1410. It still shows on the rugby field!

@michaelbrown984 Not for me. Coming from South Wales and having seen them all at their peak, Gerald Davies had the fastest side step at pace, closely followed by David Watkins. Phil Bennett was a fantastic player but his side step was far more deliberate and not executed at the same pace.

It’s quite evident in terms of the quality and flair, that what we call a step in the Southern Hemisphere is slightly different to you northerners. Northern hemisphere players just look stiff while stepping.

You should've gone back to 1972, the Barbarians v the All Blacks, and Phil Bennett's double sidestep at the start of a wonderful move that saw Gareth Edwards crash over in the corner. This is considered the greatest try of all time because of the number of players who supported the breakout and handled the ball.

The king of side step I ever seen in the history of rugby is Filimone Delasau from Fiji 🇫🇯. I never seen any rugby player to have a striking side step on both left and right footy. It just make the defenders bow down to the ground. Even Willian Ryder learned from him. Please someone has to collect all his game on rugby sevens and put on KZbin and realize what I'm talking about.

This video is sad. Cheslin Kolbe stepped half the new Zealand team in a world cup setting no one just does that.
