I run the iPad version of the range software in the Apple Vision Pro. Works better than a projector/screen setup; I hit into a net in an outdoors semi-enclosed carpark.

Good set of features for Skytrak users. Not sure it'll be enough to make me want to give up GSPro and SGT functionality. If anything, it makes me excited for the reaction that GSPro developers should be planning as response to this and E6 Apex.

@@stefanbild6869 Software will always come down to personal preference. The reason I say this is even if you build a feature list of each, everyday someone tells me why they like one better than the other. It can be budget, features like games, number of courses, some just like the look of certain ones, some like how they can run some on lower end PC's ipad, some like games offered, some like certain type of gameplay characteristics, it's honestly fascinating to hear how so many people like so many different ones. I would say TGC 2019 is probably the all time most popular for SkyTrak, GSPRO is probably one of the most all around popular for launch monitors right now, E6 still has a huge base of users and might grow with the new APEX coming. Creative Golf still is successful with it's easier to achieve graphics demands. Heck even WGT has a bunch of users, but I have to say the gameplay on that is far from realistic regardless of what someone says imo unless there was a huge update recently which I have not heard of.

The GSV studio is built with a lot of different equipment not just one set up. in this case I’m using a new 4090 desktop with BenQ 936 4K projector.

I’m excited that at some point it will release for iOS users. I really don’t wanna spend anymore money after dropping 3K for the Skytrak+. I don’t need a gaming pc/laptop right now. I just hit into my net and pair my iPad to a large tv in my garage… great video! Any know about of playing users online in the future? That would be even doper!😏

@@GolfSimulatorVideos so I spoke with some techs at Skytrak. The iOS version is due to release sometime in September. And it will only be compatible on iPads that have the M2 chip. So older iPads it will not work. I have to decide to I wanna spend the money and get a gaming laptop or just get a newer iPad with the M2 chip…🤔

@@Blackcloud319 yeah September is an estimate not a guarantee but they hope for around that time as of now. I did find out the same at least as of right now minimum specs look like M2 iPad. They just launched M4 so makes sense honestly.

But it’ll be worth try saving money in my eyes. Gaming laptops and impact screen plus a short throw projector adds up… not only that, my garage isn’t heated so during the winter months, the short throw projector would hate me lol. iPad, not so much!

I’m going to building a sim in the next few months. It’s a big decision, not sure which one I want to go with. Not going to cheap out , but not going to spend a million. So many good launch monitors to choose from. I would like to have no launch monitor on the floor. What would you recommend? The ground ones you have to move depending on which side they swing from. Also they are a hindrance to look at. IMO

I am only seeing 6 practice ranges in my software (Skytrak Plus version 5.0). I haven't purchased Course Play yet. Are the other practice ranges that you showed in the video, included in the course play add-on only?

Only the improvement ranges are part of there essentials.

They should all be in there if you have the full add on package for course play. The essential package includes improvement ranges.

Nice. How does the software look on more squarish aspect ratio? Do the UI elements move around if 1:1, 4:3, 16:9 etc.

The one you see here is 16:10 on my screen, but it will adapt to your resolution, not stretch.

Yeah, I think it’s reasonable. That’s always gonna be a little bit of a personal preference subject. I actually hear from a lot of users they don’t mind a shot delay because they are hitting into a net for looking over it screen, etc..

So, I had all the ranges you see within your video there, but all but the six you see on first screen disappeared within the view all screen. Reached out to Skytrak and was told it was a mistake and we lowly paying customers weren't supposed to see the additional ranges. Pretty frustration since I was also told a year ago, when I bought my Skytrak+, that angle of attack and clubface impact heatmap would be something released soon and it's been more than a year with no release. The clubface impact heatmap was also something found within Skytrak stat explanation videos but not released to the public. Seems like quite a few mistakes teasing something out there but not available to us peasants.

Yeah I am not sure other than they said essential package customers will get the improvement ranges. I think the face heatmap was a beta on impact they are yet to release, probably work in progress but not certain. It is possible that it is feature only for GolfTech fitters but once again not certain.

Too much of a coincidence. Looks like maybe some textures swapped out on vegetation…but they for sure look like TM courses.

Keep in mind I think both are using Unity, these engines when used the same way can look very similar other than textures that are chosen. I’m not a software engineer by any means but usually can pick up on which engine is being used pretty easily

EXACT same building designs, EXACT same car design and placement, EXACT same tree placement. They are 100% Trackman courses…I’ll bet you $10K ???

@@ltbanner2804 yeah I mean it’s very possible. I see the similar characteristics, etc. I haven’t put them right side-by-side and I play so much software. I’d really have to do that. I don’t disagree with you. It’s extremely similar. It’s very possible they bought the software or leasing it or something. Based on the gameplay, it would be the graphics though and not the ball physics. This would be a pretty smart move on Trackman to lease out virtual golf version 2, when 3 is dropping soon. That would be a solid revenue stream. I’ll get confirmation on it all.

Yeah, Skytrak has always had a little delay. Some people actually like it because they look over at a TV or computer screen. Some don’t mind it on a projector and there are definitely plenty that don’t like the delay as well. For sure, a personal preferences and a small downside of the device compared to some others.

Yeah I think it’s all about the user preference and of course iOS coming this fall is big for a lot of users. GSPRO is great and maybe it will be an official connection at some point too. I think a lot of users struggle without a simple turn on and go software. I know this because I talked to a lot of them and try to help :-)

Honestly all these this are simply a waste of time for all LM . Get a LM that gets you playing GSpro . No need to bother with any of this second rate garbage . The MLM2 will get you on GSpro . Thats where you start . There is a reason why every one is doing it . its awesome and there are 100s of courses .
