The low health sound in Pokémon from X & Y onwards beeps for a little bit when your health first gets low and when the Pokémon is sent into battle with low health, then it stops. So it's kinda like how you described it. Also the low health sound is not gone in Breath of the Wild. It's most definitely still there, though much quieter and not a beep.

@@TopSpinTheFuzzy Understandable since the sound in Breath of the Wild isn't loud and obnoxious like in say, Ocarina of Time or The Minish Cap. And you were just a generation off with Pokémon as you showed Black & White when talking about it. In those games it played unique music when your health was low.

30:52 How come I never hear anybody mention that this is one of the only 3D Zelda’s to not have a passing day-night cycle? I’m not saying it immediately equates to being a good game, but can you just imagine the potential that utilizing a sunrise/sunset could allow for a game that’s in the sky? You only ever transition immediately to night and can’t even fly at night either

I wanted a dark link fight in this game so bad because none of the sword fighting felt challenging but imagine a dark link fight mimicking moves where you’d have to think two moves ahead. I wished it was in the remake.

My least favorite Zelda game because of so many things that just kept building up right till the end. It also seems like Nintendo is not making much in quality of life changes to the game that is not locked behind amiibo. Edit: They released a trailer showing some quality of life changes that were talked about here. Fast travel seems to still be locked behind the one amiibo though :/

Concerning Fi: Like Lythero, I love Fi as a character and I will agree, her use gameplay-wise is rough, but I think that's more due to the side effect of being in a game made specifically for the Wii. A console that, at the time, was the most sold console ever. It had people who either never played games, never played a 3D game, haven't played games in a long while, and weren't used to motion controls and probably thinking the Wii-mote was no different than a TV remote. I agree that she is hard to deal with for those of us who play games normally, but I DO think her beginner friendly, handholdy nature is on purpose because of the things I listed. It's the same reason why I'm not one for bashing Navi as a character because she fulfilled the same role in Ocarina along with the case of why people need to take into consideration how the gaming landscape was at the time when reviewing a game, not just judging a game on its laurels alone or compared to modern gaming standards (because games will almost ALWAYS fall short on the latter point, that's just the nature of progression sometimes). It's another case of "we need to keep in mind how gaming was at the time" aka "basically no one knew how to NAVIgate 3D games when it was out", it's why she has the whole "Hey! Listen! Watch out!" thing, it's meant to be like "Hey, I'm trying to help you navigate the world you're unfamiliar with", it's only annoying when you don't listen to her and rush ahead thinking everything is going to be hunky dory, especially if you aren't familiar with the game. I feel like most of the people that "criticize" both Navi and Fi are from folks who have played these games over and over and know it more than they care to admit (and because some just wanna bash the games just because). But again, I will agree that they aren't "future-proofed" either for the gaming standards that would develop after them or for if people wanted to play them over and over again. The main drawbacks being "OoT: Every one was still trying to figure out 3D" and "SS: Had the biggest casual market up until then and even after it for a while".

I really do hate whenever people bring up "the timeline makes no sense", because it just shows how little people actually pay attention to shit. Zelda 2 is a sequel to Zelda 1, Link to the Past was stated to be a prequel to those two. Link's Awakening is a sequel to Link to the Past, Ocarina was originally made to be the war stated in the intro to ALTTP, Majora's Mask is a sequel to Ocarina. Wind Waker wears its Ocarina connection on its sleeve, continuing from the world after Adult Zelda sent Link back in time. Wind Waker has its sequels. Twilight Princess is pretty obviously from the other 'ending' of Ocarina. It's just like. If you actually read the text in the games, and not just mash until you can continue playing, it's almost as if a lot of the timeline makes sense is obviously at least somewhat cared for. Yes the Downfall timeline is stupid and probably mostly exists as a course correction. But to say they *never* cared about the timeline is such a willfully ignorant take it's annoying as hell.

21:00 I legitimately ragequit when trying to thrust the eye of that scorpion in the woods halfway through the game, right after the silent-realm. I just never picked it up again, as it was so bad. I am perfectly happy with not playing with that dumpsterfire of a control-scheme ever again. The atmosphere of the silent-realm was baller, too bad the controls make me never want to touch that game again with a stick even.

Ghirahim...If this game was voice. I can imagine Ghirahim going from this fake British or French accent talking down to you. To absolute demonic anger as you progress through game. Fi I understand the whole bit that ppl get annoyed with her on. I can only think that it was done on purpose cause repetition helps. It is incredibly annoying though. I hate the controls cause it uses the Wii Mote but I can tolerate it. Only thing I didn't like was Wii Motion+ where I experienced the nunchuck de-syncing with the Motion+ attachment. So end up in a situation randomly where Link is running off in a stupid direction on his own. It's like back in the N64 days where you plug in a controller while holding down the control stick. I had to look it up and find that I wasn't the only person to have this issue and it was apparently tied to the Motion+ attachment. This bit alone ruined my experience with the game. Not enough to make me say this game is horrible but it would take my score of a 8 to 6. I was fine with every bit of the game. Except that.
