Thanks for the video. Last time I was in the stadium was in 2004 for the EURO match between Portugal and Russia. I'm forwarding this video to my cousins, real Benfiquistas. They are going to love this, maybe they will see themselves at the game.

It is a great stadium to have access to so easily. While the first half was rather quiet until Benfica scored towards the end of the first half. In the second half the atmosphere had a constant buzz. Will be there for the next game on the 20th with a new video.

@@meiandwes as you probably noticed you had the benfica ultras by your left and they did not make any noise on the first half apart from once in the 30th minute, that happened because the portuguese federation is trying to ban pyroshows and thats how the ultras responded, by not making any noise, almost as rethorically asking " is this what you want? boring matches?"

@@martimcalapez6934 ah I see! I noticed how flat the atmosphere was and had been a bit disappointed. I think it showed on the pitch too as the performance picked up around that time too. I had sat in the ultra end for the PSG game, while the atmosphere is great, its hard to enjoy the match from behind the goal. Do you know a good spot pre-game?

@@meiandwes usually people drink some beers and eat something before the game right next to stadium, if you go the underground station of " alto dos moinhos" and follow the crowd you'll see it. There are some food trailers right by the exit, but there are also some right next to stadium, before you show your ticket to the security

I enjoyed watching this, thanks for sharing!☺I loved every experience at Estadio da Luz, even when I saw the team lose. It's such a friendly and welcoming environment, not to mention the eagle flying and the opening ceremony - it gives me chills every time! Looking forward to your next video 😁
