For what the new Vette costs you could build the ultimate Super Light and still have money for gas and a few track days.. and smoke everything you encounter on road and track. Nice build sir love the V10 sound, it sounds right at home.

@brennan Clark The kit is 48k, engine is about 5k and add 10k for the wheels and paint. Assuming your labour is free you should be able to make one under 100k.
@ClassifiedRecon5 жыл бұрын
CME engine will end up costing 5-10 k due to wiring harness and other upgrades you will end up opting for. Another 10k on the transaxle as g50s went up in price so most likely the graziono would be the best choice. Plus other things like fueling and cooling. It adds up quick. For that price you could get the c8. I would still choose the SLC. But it's important to know that this is a racing machine that comes with a price tag and hidden costs. Although it does end up being worth way more than the money you put into it.
@mineralgrey83325 жыл бұрын
CME I thought it was $60k to purchase the kit to build it, $40k sounds even better lmao😂 and an E60 costs less than 10k at least the ones I’ve searched for

@@lazar2175 this seems like a more custom build would cost more then you mentioned for sure. Labor free. with labor costs would be much more then vette
@lazar21754 жыл бұрын
@@allensaunders449 Depends, you probably could build a barebones one for 100k, but honestly if you are already invested that much into the car, you probably have another 50k or so to add some engine mods and other stuff that's nice to have, probably upgrade brakes and rebuild engine and transmission while you are at it. Probably the best thing about this is that you can have it with a H pattern shifter if you want since there were manual M5's. The SMG is a bit slow shifting in my opinion, i'd either go with double clutch or manual.

That is true and part of my point, It's easy to find a LS and go in a catalog, or read on a forum of what someone else has done and make big power reliably with a pool of aftermarket suppliers and go fast parts to buy and bolt on. This man chose the road less traveled and picked an engine he liked over what everyone else is doing. It my not be as reliable as the LS or make as power but its different and stands out, such as in everyday life when someone does something different it must be wrong.
