This is flight 28 of 33 from my recent trip where I flew around the world. At the end of September through the beginning of October, I set out to fly around the Earth, and after 16 days, 13 airlines, 33 flights, and over 38,000 miles, I landed back in Kansas City, Missouri after visiting 13 different countries. Over the next 2 weeks I'll be posting these flights in order, so you too can take this incredible journey, exactly as I did! The flights will be posted every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday until all 33 flights are live! So, check back three times every week to take this incredible journey with me! This videos are amazing for people that have never flown before so they can get a very accurate picture of what an entire flight is like. I wish there was videos like this back in the 1990's , back then and before that you would be flying and experiencing it without a clue as to how it feels and sounds ... I've been in a bunch of flights both commercial and private cargo planes and it never gets old to watch this videos for me to keep that reflex memory vivid so when I fly as a passenger everything is just a memory reflex... This videos are a great help for the many that have never experienced a takeoff or landing and want to have a realistic picture of what the experience is actually like ... I love this channel and subscribed right away ... Your work is greatly appreciated !!!! Thanks

I appreciate all of that my friend, and I couldn't have said I better myself. Many times I get comments from people asking why on Earth people would sit and watch a full flight from start to finish, and this is one of the main reasons. People who haven't flown before and want to know what it's like, or even people who have flown but are afraid to fly and want to help accustom their mind and bodies to it are some of my loyal viewers. Of course, there's also the large aviation enthusiast segment that is the main consumer of my videos haha, but people often don't realize how powerful these videos can be for someone that hasn't flown before. Thanks for watching my friend!

You can find some vintage footage of flights on old planes on KZbin which is pretty cool. There’s the last Concorde flight for example, and I recently saw some videos of a DanAir BAC-111.

Deboarding or boarding a widebody by stairs is so fun! You can get a close up view of the engines, APU sounds and even touch the plane! I wish all airports would go to from Jetbridges to Stairs. It’s more exciting

I think this plane is very efficient. It took off very quickly and didn’t have to run too long on the runway and upon landing, it slowed down very quickly

I saw that you filmed your flight on my birthday this year. Thanks dude!

28:32 did someone's phone get an EAS or something? lol Looked like a powerful takeoff from NAS after that tropical downpour. And quite the crosswind on short final to GCM, nicely handled by the pilot flying. Watching the crosswind correction inputs never gets old, neither does disembarking on airstairs!

Yes, I had forgotten about that. I was going to edit it out so it didn't jump scare people but I forgot haha.

@@sla31 Ahh, no worries at all. It actually added to the scenes outside the window at the time lol.

Think I did this flight to and from London to GCM once when it was operated with a 767 back in 2012. Don’t remember much of it. That boarding music sounds really nice, wish more airlines had that instead of some generic modern stuff.
@sla3112 күн бұрын
You're probably right my friend. This flight did used to be operated by the 767-300. I remember being in Grand Cayman and seeing the 767 land. Too bad those are gone from BA's fleet now.

Great fly! Wow that is the biggest wing that I ever saw that blocks view the most...
@sla3119 күн бұрын
You can thank BA for that. They swapped equipment at the last minute and my seat behind the wing was moved to this one, right over the wing.

I hope this means that i'll be seeing a Bahamasair trip report coming soon :)

You know what's crazy... I tried to fly Bahamasair 3 times in 2024 and every single time, a problem on another carrier, forced me to abandon my plans. So unfortunately, no... I do not have any flights to post from on Bahamasair. At least not yet. I've had more trouble trying to fly them than any other airline ever, and none of it is their fault 😂.

And he's off on the next leg of his Super Amazing Race around the world, another step closer to the Grand $10 million prize. Wow. Those are some SERIOUS cumulonimbus clouds there. I was watching First Daughter (1999) and then, I switched over to your latest aviation adventure. In this movie, the President's daughter gets kidnapped by domestic terrorists while white water river rafting in the Colorado wilderness. But the good news is that Mariel Hemingway was the SS Agent who was determined to take these guys out and rescue the First Daughter. Anyhow, another fine Super-Awesome video on your part. The weather is dry, sunny at times and about 50 degrees. 2 years ago on this date, we had that ice storm which absolutely shut EVERYTHING down, even the ferries and mail. If you had tried to fly here back then, your flight would've been cancelled. But no White Christmas for us this year. Not like 2017 when we had BOTH a White X-Mas Eve AND a White X-Mas morning. That was a snowfall for the record books. My GF built a Christmas Snow Woman on our front lawn.

Speedbird 253 always seems to take an unusual amount of time before it takes off..

Yeah, I was worried we'd be delayed enough to where it'd be dark by the time we got to Grand Cayman. Thankfully, on this day, we didn't get delayed that long, even with the thunderstorms in Nassau.

28:33 What alert is that?
@sla3118 күн бұрын
LOL I forgot that was in there. The storms that passed through while we were on the ramp caused that to go out. For flash flooding or something. I don't remember the exact reason. But clearly someone next to me got it a bit delayed haha.

There have been plane crashes because the pilots didn't have the airplane configured for takeoff, imagine having that seat and seeing the slats not down for takeoff, I'm sure some passengers saw this just before the crashes.

I just heard this and got so freaked out for a second. Probably some national alert on someone’s phone.

Did you choose the over-the-wing seat for the legroom or the view? lol
@sla3119 күн бұрын
I didn’t choose to sit over the wing. This was BA’s doing. I chose to sit in the exit row behind the wing exit door. A perfect spot to sit on the 777-200. BA then chose to swap equipment to a different 777-200 configuration two hours before departure, after everyone had already checked in. So, being a full flight, every other seat was taken. My seat, moved from behind the wing to this location, and there was nothing else open for me to move to. Unfortunately, this happens sometimes. You know what they say about the best laid plans…. I tried to get something else when the swap happened and there was literally nothing else open. As I’ve said before, I don’t ever intentionally sit over the wing.

The wiew on the wings above Caribbean sea !!! not good. Sorry :(
@sla3119 күн бұрын
Unfortunately there was nothing I could do about this. I was supposed to be seated behind the back exit door. Giving myself, and you, a great view. Then British Airways swapped the plane for a different configured 777-200 2 hours before departure. So my seat, which was behind the wing, was now directly over the wing. Nothing I could do about it at that point. Everyone else had already been assigned seats and there was nothing for me to move to. Unfortunately this happens sometimes. I plan meticulously to prevent this from happening, but sometimes even the best laid plans fall apart. In this case, having the flight posted is better than not at all.
