Just in case anyone is wondering. Here is some info about this flight. I listed this flight as a SkyWest Airlines flight instead of American Eagle since SkyWest sent an aircraft painted in their own house livery. Yes, SkyWest is operating for American Eagle and usually a flight like this would be listed as American Eagle (Operated by SkyWest Airlines). However, since SkyWest sent an aircraft in their own livery and all of the material on the aircraft was marked as SkyWest I consider the flight to be a SkyWest Airlines (Operating as American Eagle) flight. It doesn't happen very often, but strangely enough, I've had this happen twice recently. Also, this flight was originally scheduled to be operated by a CRJ-700 and was downgraded at the last minute. For those of you who follow JLN flights this is not the usual equipment type for the flight. Thanks for watching everyone!

Yeah I saw this particular livery in Minneapolis a month ago.

SkyWest actually has quite a few painted in their own livery. I saw 4 or 5 of them when I was at DFW last. Although most of them were CRJ-700s. Thanks again for watching man!

Well I'd be lying if I said it didn't drive me a bit nuts. That being said, it's one of the things you may encounter when flying. Just like a crying child/baby. I try not to let it bother me because there really isn't anything I can do about it. Thanks for watching my friend!

Now i see what you were talking about, the heavy frost, that could cause a problem. Great video.

That's nice of them to read off the gate numbers for connecting passengers. I've never experienced that even on small regional jets (I would understand why someone might not want to do it for all of the passengers on anything larger than a crj)

I remember when they used to do that on every flight. That's changed with all the technology now. Most people can simply look it up on their phones now. Thanks for watching my friend!

I don't recall seeing DFW this small, I've always flown American and Delta into DFW...
@sla31
@sla31 5 жыл бұрын
Well this video is kind of deceiving when you get to DFW. Not only are we on a tiny plane, but we land on runway 17L which is the farthest runway out from the terminals. Then we taxi around the south side of 17C and 17R and head strait for Terminal E. Basically this flight was on a small aircraft, and we took the runways/taxiways that showed the least of DFW as a whole. Thanks for watching my friend!

I do indeed. The Joplin area has been home for me since 1996. So naturally I my trips start and end at JLN a lot. Thanks for watching my friend. Let me know the next time you’re in the area!

What causes you to fly from jln to DFW so often?
@sla31
@sla31 5 жыл бұрын
That would be because I live in the Joplin area. So naturally, if I want to fly anywhere and don't want to drive to Tulsa, Springfield, Bentonville, or Kanas City then JLN-DFW always has to be my first segment. I do fly out of TUL and MCI a lot as well, but most of the time I just don't want to drive to those airports when JLN is so close and convenient. Thanks for watching my friend!

Why have I never heard of the CRJ-100? Only the CRJ-200 and higher?
@sla31
@sla31 5 жыл бұрын
The CRJ100 is the original 50-seat version. It is equipped with General Electric CF34-3A1 engines. The CRJ200 is identical to the CRJ100 except for its engines, which were upgraded to the CF34-3B1 model, offering improved efficiency. This aircraft was originally delivered to Comair in 1999 as an original CRJ-100 model. Thanks for watching!

Technically a 18 departure since we took off to the south, but 18 is just the opposite direction of 36. So yes this was a runway 18-36 departure.

Well luckily there are two pilots in the cockpit, and usually only one of them is doing the flying. I don't mind when the pilots are chatty. Thanks for watching my friend!
