Very informative po..thank you for this video. Sir matanong ko lang, Ground floor ko is elevated? Let say 1meter with earth fill from NGL. Though well compacted sya with right aggregates..You as an Engineer, would you use Slab on grade design or Suspended slab design? Inanticipate nyo po ba na bababa parin yung fill pagdating ng araw?

Salamat po sa question. Posible na hindi naman, dahil sabi nyo naman maayos yung ginamit na filling material, especially kung hindi naman binigla yung pag tambak nung 1meter, ang proper placing is not more than 1foot per leap ng compaction bago ilagay yung next layer. Kung meron ng 1 year yung house nyo at wala naman naging problem okay na po sa asessment ko, kasi nag daan ng ang two season ng walang nangyari. Sir Good day po. How about "Raised Floor Slab"? Is it also base dependent? If yes, does the fill material (provided well compacted) support the weight of the floor slab thereby lessening the load on the footings?

Raised-floor are normally precast, it comes with post assembly that rely on stable base like slabs on grade. Thanks

Sir ano pinag kaiba sa mix ratio na 1:2:3 at 1:2:4 at ano epikto sa footing, column at beam at ano ang magandang ratio dapat pag 2 storey house LNG? Salamat po SA response. Sa atin Kasi karamihan gamit at 1:2:3.

Thankyou for your comment Peter. Basically the more gravel the greater comp.strength it will be, because it is denser than pure cement and sand, although sand is dense too but it comes in fine granules. We use 123 in small spaces like slab or walls because of narrow spaces "para maiwasan mag ampaw" 123 is good but expensive you can also use 134 on slab bantayan mo lang yung tubig dapat ang slump is not more than 5". Use 123 on columns, then 124 on footings. I have a video regarding conc mix please stay tune to my channel. Regards

Because slab-on-grade is directly expose to ground, we protect rebar from harmful moist that could bring corrosion, and also floor finishes. Thanks

For ordinary concrete mixed normally 28 days you can totally remove supports

Normally pag steeldeck oneway slab yan, because we utilize the corrugation as part of the structural system. Kaya nabanggit po natin sa video na yung adhesion between concrete and steeldeck is important. Thanks

Sir sa suspended slab, pwede po ba mag stop ng buhos? Halimbawa sobrang laki ng area ng suspended slab. Saan po ang ideal na zone ng putol ng buhos?

Theoretically if you generate shear and moment diagram you'll see critical points, we need to avoid those. But to make it more simplified and understandable, do it within the middle of "L/3 zone" from the face of support. In that case, we both satisfy critical points of max shear and max moment. Thanks

Try to terminate pouring near L/3 of span (c/c beam). Ex. If span is 5m, measure 1.60m from centre of beam then provide shear key at the centre of slab thickness (similar to what we do on road pavement edge). However make sure reinforcing bars should be continuous beyond terminating edge. I hope get it clear. Thanks
