Discuss ninyo rin sana Sir iyong trimmer bar na tinatawag nila and pati iyong mga standard bending ng rebar sa slab. Nagsite supervision ako dati hindi usually dinidiscuss yan ng mga superior. Hehe.. .

Hi sir always thank you sa mga lectures niyo dahil nakatutulong talaga sa tulad ko na practicing engineer. Sir paano i plot ang tributary areas ng suspended concrete roof FLAT slab extending 2m from the perimeter of the 2 storey bldg. wala po kasi nakapagdiscuss nito which really exist in most all concrete bldg. thanks po ulit for giving a response. god bless po at stay safe.

Basically assume a strip passing column, then calculate bending moment cantilever kasi yan. then punching shear check for minimum slab thickness. After satisfying those criteria, check clear space between rebars such as 30mm cover, rebar layers(top & bottom), adding all those you will give you another thickness required, use whichever is greater. Finally check bending moment (mid and support zone) using the thickness that you adopt. Hope that helps

Question: Sir, sa suspended slab ba pero ginamitan lahat yan ng steel deck (sa example) Applicable pa din ba yan? iko-consider pa den ba 2way or puro 1way na lahat po gagamitin jan Very informative po, God bless

If you prefer to use steeldeck, you need to treat your susp.slab as one-way, it is because of the physical properties (flute direction). Thanks

Naglagay po kayo ng temperature bars sa ibabaw ng bottom bars, sa ilalim po ng top bars di na maglalagay?

For one-way slab temperature bars along Ls, use As=0.002 Ag. Thanks

@@gnidnoeled786 no need, clarification lang, both rebars along ss and ls should run at the bottom, we only need top bars if you design an extra, e.g. in case of continuous slab or there is cantilever slab in any of the sides around the panel. Thanks

Sir pano po pala kapag yung oneway slab ay nasa pagitan po ng dalawang 2 way slab? Both end continuous po ba yon? Or simply supported?

It is still considered as one way, but continuous ends. In other words, you should have top reinforcent on such end in order to accomodate bending from adjoining panel. Thanks

Monolithic pouring naman I suggest sa ilalim ng beam top bars yung slab bars

Sir, halimbawa na yung isang slab panel supported by 4 beams na paikot pro yung L/W is >= 2 , what should I consider sir? Thanks

One way parin. Main Bars naka Perpendicular sa Longer Side & Temperature Bars Parallel sa longer side. I think Over reinforced pag naging treatment is 2 way. Clarify with designer parin
