I’ve caught both. Awesome action and excitement. I fish Eastern NC rivers mostly. So white crappie are more abundant. Both are poor man’s flounder and tasty. Love the channel.

Yeah its probably me who wants and needs and extreme crappie angler shirt and I'll tell ya why. I actually study crappie behavior day in and day out and I'm not afraid to ask questions. One things forsure you can never got to old to learn. Its guys like you man that breaks things down with detail that can really help an avid angler out. These technique's really work how do I know well its simple " I apply them here in the Midwest" while all the other anglers are fishing they same exact way which is fine but it saddens me lol. There's way too many ways to nail big slabs. For example crankbaits, spinnerbaits, jig and bobber, dropshot, float and minnow, microbaits and the list goes on. I use everything mentioned and "I" produce slabs plain and simple and might I add that most of the time its from shore🤷🏾‍♂️. My fishbrain app proves so aka the panfishin-fool.... Tight lines and blessings to all🎣

Good question! I would probably use a crank bait with a rattle and as bright a colour as possible like orange with chart.
